There's also a couple fuses in there with the fan motor unit under the bunk. They look like capacitors and diodes, but they are little fuses. They will also cause the unit's a/c and heat functions to not work. I carry a couple of those fuses with me in case I need to replace them again. They are small and fragile and do NOT look anything like a common fuse.

Can you get to that panel outside or do you have to lift your bunk to access it?

Hey, I am having an electrical problem with mine. I have the lightning bolt off on the screen and the apu turns on but it won’t turn the a/c on from the screen. I did a full maintenance and same problem. I just bought the truck. The a/c turned on one time for about 20 seconds, then it said low voltage and it hasn’t worked since. I tested the breaker at the generator and is good. Did you pull the fuse and by pass or replace? Did yours blow the fuse? Thank you for the video.

Mauricio Contreras did you check the fuse inside theres a fuse inside the unit there where i open the box under the bed , the fuse thats outside in the engine area i would take it off and put it back but never blew it..it stoped doing that the only thing now it blows cold air for a few min then it cuts off the compressor im thinking a temp sensor is acting up..but if the bolt is not showing its not turning on the unit under the bed open it check that fuse it a glas fuse the long ones..good luck

Its the capacitor in the apu that's causing your low voltage to come on your display when you use the AC the part runs about 150 and if you let carrier put it on for you it runs about another 215 because they are going to charge 2hrs of labor when it takes less then a HR to do because they are going to claim they have to test and test that but truth be told it's not that hard to put on I watched the tech at carrier put mine on just take the top and bottom compartment off it sits under the water pump but is mounted slightly off from it and has two bolts in it but this will fix your low voltage issue

Please sir I have Apu it run fine but the A/c is not working. I tested the fan and the wire is fine . I open my sleep bed and check the motherboard that the a/c get it power from no power. Don’t know if it has a fuse or the motherboard is damaging?

On some setups you have to disconnect the apu from the truck batteries to reset it. Had the same problem

I love videos like this, makes more profits for the Carrier dealer when people that don't know what they are doing get inside of things that they have no ideas about how they work. Case in point, the green wire he refers to is a ground bonding wire, it carries no current at any time, so if he is getting an ark on that wire, he has other problems. He doesn't even know what the reset button is doing on the electrical outlet, he thinks pressing that button is having some effect on the system! Guess what, it doesn't! The outlet is a GFCI outlet, there are 2 buttons on it, a test button that will trip the GFCI breaker and a reset button that, guess what, resets the GFCI! When the APU starts up and the system sees that there is 110 volts to the board, it turns on a relay that provides power to the outlet, and the green light comes on showing the outlet is live. Nothing more. How would I know this? Ever heard someone refer to an expert by saying "he wrote the book on,,,,". Well I wrote the ComfortPro APU diagnostic and trouble shooting manuals on each of the different series of APUs. I also provided the training to the Carrier dealers as well as some fleet training all across North America, and when the shit hits the fan, I was the one that went out to fix things up. Retired now, so I guess I really shouldn't care about all the incorrect info that people post on the internet, I just hope that no one gets killed believing some of the stuff I see here!

TheHitchiker42 I have a comfort pro apu that will sometimes shut off shortly (1-2 minutes) after starting up & that’s just the apu running. Turn on heat or a/c & does the same. I don’t want anything automatic on it. I’d like to turn it on & it keep me comfortable til I am ready to shut it off. Anything I can do?

Hitchiker42. I’m a seasoned tech who currently works almost daily on TK tripacs . My customer now has purchased many comfort pro units due to severe shortage of the TK units. Where might I access the service manuals. Units are all brand new. I haven’t even performed a p.m. yet. Im sure they will have there issues like the TK units.

@@stevegerhart929 looked for contact info, but that's not an option on KZread, and I don't see anything that allows a private message. I have copies of the last manuals from before I left, but I'm certainly not posting my contact info here, I'd get bombarded with requests for info!

The problem is you take it to Carrier like I did last week fix it cuz it neededa new alternator so the said yet I'm still having the same problems. I got the ground taken care of last month but still having the problems. When Carrier won't back each other's work it makes it hard to keep getting things done it's costly to keep going back o er and over yet still have the same problem.
