I wanted a long fast track in a compact space and after many tries this was the best setup. I'm very happy with this Carrera track. Thanks for your comments. 👍

My favorite part of this build are the long straightaways. Most tracks have too many bends and curves and it's difficult to build speed and difficult to focus on the cars.

Hi David, That's my favorite part too ! I really like the banked curves as well. It's just a lot of fun cars racing side-by-side on the long straightaways going on a fast banked curve... 👍 I've tried different layouts and this is by far my favorite 😁 Thanks for watching !

@@CoolCollected Wow, thank you of the reply. I am honored. Yes, those banked curves are awesome too. My second favorite part of your build is that the whole track just looks incredible. The detailing and the lights underneath the overhead track, I mean incredible. It looks like a real racetrack that's been shrunk. I just discovered slot cars this morning! I have no idea how I came across your channel. When I was a kid there were slot cars around but they were never very good. It looks like the bar has been raised considerably. I wonder what teenagers today think of the new slot cars? By the way, does Carerra have a track set with car combo or do you have to buy everything individually?

@@davidhunternyc1 The carrera set are really cool... when I was a kid I had to go to commercial tracks or buy a small very basic set to race at home. Now, you can build your own track with lane change, ghost cars, and use the carrera app for race management and car tuning 👍 I started with a set I bought from amazon and then kept buying additional sets and banked curves. I'd get the digital wireless sets with that usually come with 2 cars. I bought most sets/parts from Amazon, and pizzatrains.com Thanks again !

Hi Cad1900, Thank you ! just don't rush it. It takes time for you to get all the parts and find the best setup for your area/home. Building the track is just as much fun as racing... 👍👍😁😁

Very nice speedway, for super fast racing! Thanks for the build tips in your other video, very cool. Post more videos if you change, add, or make improvements or maybe if you race against others for some really cool fast action. That would be fantastic to watch. Thanks for sharing with us!

Thanks for your comments. Yes, i'm planning to add a couple more videos soon. My girl is not a very good "driver" so I made this track easier for her.. before I had more regular turn but she kept crashing. This version is very fast, but still requires some skill. She like it a lot more now that the pit stops/fuel management are a big factor during the race,... not the crashes. For us is a lot more fun that way.

Nice Layout I saw you gave a list of parts. One other question I have is the order of the high bank curves you used. On the left side you used 2/30,3/30 and 4/15. What's the order on the right side?

Hi Shannon, I used 2/30 and 3/30 high banked curves and the right middle curve was a combination or regular curves and straight pieces than I "banked" all the way to the starting line. If you watch the video on large monitor you can see in more detail the pieces and combinations. Thanks ! 👍

I’m thinking about adding banked curves. Just about all of my cars say they don’t work on 1/30. It doesn’t appear you are using any, right? I think you have a couple of 2/30 banks and up, correct?

Hi NJA 3, Yes, I don't use the 1/30 for the same reason you mentioned. I do have the 2/30 but the 3/30 and 4/15 banked curves are my favorite. See my reply here to THE BREEZE... where I listed most of the parts I used for this track. Thanks ! 👍

Hey Cool, might you have a parts list? I know, it's a lot to ask, but I can't get this set up out of my head. I have to build one like it. I just love this set. And I look at it EVERYDAY! If not, I might have to improvise, but I simply can't get past this super impressive set up. Also, I need to learn how to 'power tap' (?) to make sure the track gets enough power throughout.

Hi Breeze, I don't have an exact list of the parts but I can post most of them here: BANKED 2/30 CURVES #127503 + GUARD RAIL 2x sets of HIGH BANKED 3/30 CURVES #115653 BANKED 4/15 CURVES + IN/OUT SHOULDERS 54x STRAIGHTS + SHOULDERS, BORDERS + POWER TAPS 6x LANE CHANGE SETS 8x Carrera Digital 124/132 CURVE 1/60 10x Carrera Digital 124/132 CURVE 1/30 Part#30341 - Carrera 30341 Pit Stop Extension Track Section CARRERA Slot Car Track Pit Stop Lane Garage Carrera 124/132 Pit Lane 30356 The original carrera sets I bought were: 2x Carrera Digital 132 - Carrera Race Party 1 x Carrera Digital 132 "GT Racers" 30132 As for the power taps, I made custom ones but carrera sells them too. If you are not sure how to do it just buy the ones carrera sells. Thanks ! 👍

Does Anyone Know How To Make My Carrera Digital 132 Scale Cars Run More Quiet And Smooth Around The Track?

I just make sure the car is clean and lubricated... I've noticed a couple of flat spots on a couple of my tires and that caused the car to make a loud sound and I raced it aroundthe track, so check your tires for flat spots. For the track, make sure it is clean and stable... specially if you have a 2-level track or banked curves... that's why I used memory foam behind the banked curves.

Thanks... The width is 6ft in one side and 7ft on the other back end. The overall length is 27ft. Itried different setups but this was my favorite because I can sit on one side of the track by the start and I can get a very good view of the entire track. That is also the only side of the track where car can really crash because the other side only has banked curves.

You need a house ethat is at least 100ft wide and 200 ft tall to store this setup. Amazing!
