@mike_nelson
Жыл бұрын
@@sachinpatodia4593 You sound deluded. Liverpool have been in the conversation as having one of the best teams of all time, by none other than Gary Neville himself. Let's not forget how close Liverpool were to a title and an invincible season by just 1 point from just 11mm and goal line technology. They have had not just one but two of the greatest come backs in Champions league history, a record breaking 96 points and not winning the title, then losing it by 1 point again last season in the last 45 minutes with City scoring 2 against Villa. Again, 90+ points. Then they were 2 games away from a quadruple. Sure, they're not winning the league constantly but that's hardly their fault as much as it is that Man City is even better at getting across the line, albeit with a bench that could win the league too. Doesn't make them crap. Common sense goes a long way. They've literally won every top competition in the last 5 years. But sure, look at it as 1 PL title in all those years. Anyone can move the goal posts to suit their argument. For example, Man UTD hasn't even won the league in 10 years. Sounds bad right? But then you look at the previous 20 years. Ten Hag has done an amazing job right? Then you look at the previous seasons points tally and positioning. The hammering from rivals and small clubs alike, then it doesn't look so good. José did a better job than that.

Isn't it strange how so many managers have done well in a single season. Usually you have one or two. This season there's probably 8 or 9 people you could say have exceeded expectations. For me though, Lampard has to be number one. He's the new Guardiola.

@@jhaych inconsistent? A CAM is only as good as their Forwards. KDB, Grealish and Foden have Haaland! With an unsettled team, maybe but he’s up there in the top-5 of most created chances. Forest have finally had a settled team in last month and they beat Brighton, Arsenal and draw away at Chelsea. Imagine Taiwo Awoniyi fit for the season and getting on MGW’s through balls and passes. Taiwo has scored 9 goals in 16 starts because he’s been injured half of the season.

Newcastle United. My father sent it to me from Dublin, Ireland and 2years later I came to Ireland 🇮🇪 living here 20years later. Great people and great country. I am happy for Newcastle as it was my first English team that I knew as a kid living in the Kongo, Matadi. I can’t wait to see them in the UCL. They completely deserve it. Great football. Congratulations to Eddie Howe and the players and fans. 🙏🙏💪💪💪🏾💪🏾✌️✌️🇮🇪🇮🇪💪🏻🇨🇩🇨🇬🇨🇬❤️❤️

I think a second manager of the season category is needed for managers who come in mid-season. So many sackings that there'll be plenty of contenders in future!

For me, it's Eddie Howe all day as manager of the season. Pep has done wonders yes, but look at the difference in tools. Man City have superstars all over the pitch, while we're making players like Willock, Longstaff, Murphy, whom wouldn't make City's bench look amazing. The work EH has done, he deserves it.
