I love this stuff.... Especially the Morton's Potato Chip jingle. Nobody does overlapping multiple dubbed harmonic vocals like the Carpenters.

Yes, I like the Suntori pop jingles, too! I was referring the the video track itself (you used here) of Richard and Karen at the piano reminiscing about old songs and singing one of their hits. It seems to be taking place in a ballroom or restaurant...people with drinks in hand walking by them, etc.

I also like the ones they did for soda

In this video, Karen was at the height of her beauty both in face and in figure. The white blouse really becomes her.

surprised very surprised that the carpenters would "lower themselves" to do any commercials/jingles.. for potato chips? and chocolate? spokespersons commercial and getting paid enormous amounts maybe in japan where they are huge (for suntory pop) but here in the states, singing and lending their voices and their image to singing cheezy songs for food products? and in the 70's? during their heyday?....nowadays big stars lend their voices in voiceover and the rare commercials as spokespersons for something, it's more common today whether perfume/cologne, cars, whatever, but back then it seems very rare that celebrities did this stuff and certainly NOT when the celebrities are/were as big as the carpenters back then, gosh knows they didn't need the work or the money that's for sure!..
