I just went there and got skunked. Not even a bite. Do you think that the water might be too cold or what could be the reason?

dale hollow is truly a one of a kind lake with massive fully scale mirrors to huge smallmouth. ive been trying to get out on dale for the past couple of weeks and its been so busy with bass fishermen my spots have been washed out by waves and motor noise. but that's something you just got to deal with. awesome fish man and congrats on breaking your PB.

@@sammybacino4416 super lucky. My grandpa, my dad, and I have been guiding smallmouth on dale for years so I’ve always seen carp around. The past 4 years I’ve finally started going after them and I’ve spent a ton of time on the bank. Finally getting a common over 30lbs in 2020. Dale hollow will always have a special place in my heart

What a great trip some fantastic looking fish glad to see more and more people in America doing it properly and not I'll treating the carp.Would love to come over and fish this lake most of ours in England are tiny by comparison and are rammed busy with other carp anglers it puts you off going

That was a great video! I live in NC and plan on going to Dale Hollow next spring with my Dad. Did you fish in March? Early spring seems to be a good time for that lake!

I used an in-line method feeder with oats and corn as my base. My hook bait was just sweet corn

I will not share BUT.....I will say this, the whole lake is loaded with carp. If you can find an area that has a slow decline and bait it for several days, they will come.
