I remember those days.. fishing the lily pads till the point swim was free at Brooklands.. HNV baits, herons or optonics & sleeping bags sticking out from umbrellas, we had to pretend to be match anglers to join the decent lakes cos they thought we were all nutters🤣good times, but also good times ahead. Great channel Joe keep up the good work bud

Well, hats off to you Joe!! Thoroughly enjoyed that, have to say these videos are a breath of fresh air when it comes to the lack of adverts! Having had to endure 20 odd adverts on another companies recent hour long film on here, this is JUST how it should be. Saying that I fully appreciate ads equal revenue, and I for one certainly wouldn't think 2 or 3 over the course of a film wouldn't be anything anyone would complain about! Start, middle and end or whatever. Showing the others how to do it for sure! 👏👏

Haha Joe your story when you got snagged up in long reach... what a story bud.. proper exciting stuff.. when you were in about reaching down and feeling the tail rubber... then feeling the rig/ on to the fish..I was literally in the same situation last week... what a feeling. The satisfaction when I after about a 10 minute battle, pulling the 12tf reeds away until I found my fish haha. Got some photos of 1 of the lads over the other side of me battling in the reeds!! Exciting stuff.. I thought I'd been done but didn't want to pull for a break a had the feeling it was still on... there was no point in me putting my waders on as I fought my quarry in the margins...I stuck my rod into the silt and went under the water to feel if the fish was there...booom.. back of the net. No better feeling mate. # carpy 🙌 very inspirational/informative, motivational videos bro. Keep them coming :) 😃 👌 peace ✌ 🙏 be safe. Good Angling

Loved this vid! I just got my season ticket for the Wetlands couple of weeks back. Just having an end-of-winter exploration of Lower Maynard for pike but want to get onto the carp when it gets a bit warmer. Haven't fished for carp for years so I'm expecting a few blanks at first, but looking forward to the challenge. This vid was super helpful for giving me pointers!

Joe have a lovely little one for you to get into, sure you have heard about it mate, just a little gem and the fish are all as old as your hat, Rickmansworth aquadrome is the one, 40lb common and a few others that are in the same folder with a few others that are not out alot, ask nick helliuer about it mate, public park lake and water skying on there too, so a good challenge for you mate, I have a nice little collection of pictures i can share with you if you are interested?
