Having been restricted to day only fishing nationwide during the early part of 2021, everyone can appreciate that limited time is a tough factor to deal with. That being said, there’s a group of venues located in London that have become synonymous with this type of angling, Walthamstow Reservoirs. This complex of reservoirs lies right in the beating heart of the Capital and is famed for its stock of old, beautiful carp that swim in the shadow of some of the city’s most famous landmarks.
Having fished the complex a few times, Jake Wildbore took on the task of tracking down the notoriously nomadic Walthamstow carp. Keeping on his toes, which isn’t easy with a camera crew in tow, he darts around the lovely Lower Maynard for the majority of his sessions. Containing some of the best-looking fish on the complex, the Lower Maynard is certainly a challenge, one which tested Jake to the max!

Really like Jake's style of presenting and fishing on these videos, speaks well, no bluster, just good solid angling and some stunning fish, excellent stuff
Returning to carp fishing after a 20 year gap. Things have changed. It's really good to find all the anglers on the TA Team, talk to you, instead of shouting or being really hyperactive while presenting. Keep up the fantastic work guys, live all your videos.
Walthamstow reservoirs steeped in history with some fantastic carp in not easy at the best of times have to work for em. Really enjoyed that great bit of fishing👌

I think you should of put some sun block on jake! 🎣🤣. I normally fish the 2 & 3 res, but I’ll try the lower Maynard this year.

Days only… then why the barrow? I’ve fished 72hr sessions on the move the whole time with less kit including bed and bivvie. Make it make sense

@@ThinkingAnglersTV the platform with the 2 Cormorants on @8:02 Paul thought it was the one that used to be in the Lower rather than it being the Lockwood one in the video

That's the Lockwood platform not the old Lower one ;)
