Carol embodies the craziness that is Eunice! From her walk, to her wild facial expressions, like at 10:07! It floors me every time I click on these episodes and see her with that hairdo and damn outfit. And then she talks and the accent spews out lol. I often keep my playlist of The Family on repeat. I even prepare meals in preparation for back to back episodes, just as if this were a modern day show. Carol, I truly thank YOU for Eunice! 💚

I think Mama, Ed, Philip, and Eunice are tragic characters in their own way. I think Mama had a terrible husband and it caused her to bring up her children in the overbearing manner. Ellen had it good because she was the favorite, but Philip was constantly shut down and, of course, Eunice got it the worst because she was Mama's primary caregiver.

I always felt sorry for the Ed character, played so brilliantly by Harvey. He was constantly humiliated and taken for granted by both of those high-strung (a nice way to say it) women, and was always shot down. I think he would have risen to the challenge if he had been given any respect or consideration. He gravitated toward Mickey Hart (another stellar characterization) because he was given respect by his employee. He was probably very effective at the hardware store. The worst insult was when Eunice told her sister Ellen that "Duke Reeves" was the only man she ever loved! And that she ended up "stuck with" Ed!

Money in that case could’ve solved a few and couple closer. I hate to admit it but it is money sometimes that buys happiness. It upset me lots when Eunuce counted her lost hopes of getting a better living but to use that emergency money they keot fir the family was unwise even if Micky deserved a dream breather and Ed could benefit from that trip wider by having an assistant with him. The way Eunice says 'Chicaga' cracks me up every time!

I love how they kept some kind of continuity. I just watched the skit earlier today about the rabbit traps. 😂😂

Money and a bit of consideration was to solve that issue but they don’t have much. 🤷🏻♀️
