@@boardgamegeek I think it’s a first that the UK has gotten a KS shipment first. I’m sorry that yours is still in China - freight and shipping is just crazy right now. I love that the 2nd edition has a default finale if you cannot do any of the original ones - means every game will always have a climactic showdown! Keep up the great work on the channel, your play throughs have inspired a number of purchases which I would not have done.

When you don’t notice the length of the video and then notice it’s 2:30am and you still have an hour to go but are soooo invested 😅

that "dropping cubes" mechanic is one of the coolest gaming things I've seen!

+Doug Breese It really is, and it does add tension to the game as you've seen. I do not love coop games, but this I enjoyed playing, and not only because I personally know the authors! :)

Love this channel. Already looking forward to season 4.

This game looks brilliant, love the unique cube drop mechanic. Matthew was brilliant at knowing and explaining the rules too.

I absolutely love this show. The vast improvements in quality from season one is awesome. Keep it up

I really enjoy the table talk of the group. This is a great way to learn the game for the people who just received the reprint. Great video.

When I look at thw breakdown bar and see a small bar followed by a long bar. Ik its going to be good. Definitely not my cup of tea, but I still enjoyed watching and always prefer the longer ones but I can enjoy the shorter ones. I like the design of the board and the pile of bodies aspect. That adds a little more excitement. Always fun watching you guys! Looking forward to the next Game Night!!!!

You guys have convinced me to buy several new boardgames, this one included (but second ed.) I've both been able to learn the gameplay off your channel and find new boardgames suitable for our (small) game group. Awesome!

Matthew comes across as articulate, fun, informative, knowledgeable and not too much of a alpha gamer, more Matthew! The game's theme wouldn't suit my game group, but it seems quite well-designed, if a little anti-climatic sometimes. The Pile of Corpses adds a fun, light element that I'd love to see more games utilise. As always, thanks for the entertainment, guys!

@@alejandroalonso8642 I might be wrong, but I think they didn't think you were serious and made a joke instead An Alpha Gamer is someone in a co-op game who basically talks loudly and tells everyone what so do on their turns (or extremely strongly suggests). They don't allow the other players to really make their own decisions and instead those players just do what the Alpha says. It's can be an extremely unfun way to play a co-op game :( After that breakdown though - what @mrkeldar00 said does have merit, lol 🤜🤛

​@@jimmys66 Oh, I think I know the type, one friend is kind of like that. But when he starts to get pushy in some games I just shut him down. It's easy when you are familiar with the person, and pushy people never have had any effect on me, tbh. But I understand that they can get annoying.

After almost 3 years since this episode's out, there's finally some hope about this kickstarter! Just saw it yesterday on its Facebook page and there are some sneak peeks of the new box and components of the 2nd Edition of the game! Can't wait!

I have to say that I love the show and all of you are doing a great job! I love boardgames but during studies ist difficult to play sometimes. But you guys get me back to the table and into the fever for playing boardgames. Thank you so much for all of your work, your time and the passion, that you explaining and playing with in the show! I'm thrilled to see some classic games or newbies and can't wait to watch the next season! Thank you all so much!!!!

Loved having a longer game played out in full, takes so much for that!I'm a huge fan of co-op games, but I'm not sure it's for me because prefer less "Euro" in my co-op. Really didn't like the "two-card draw" to avoid an automatic loss after 3 hours (and I love co-op games)

Before I watch, I just want to say thanks for another great season, and for ending it with a HUGE bang! A 3 hour game?! WOW! Have heard good things about this one, including many that say it's the best "zombie feel" of any board game. Can't wait to watch, in parts, like 4-6 parts. ;)

On Kickstarter again? This is the Kickstarter being referred to in the video! It may have been delayed nearly 4 years, but the worth was worth it! Or, I'm assuming it will be if nothing goes wrong with the project. : )

Third time watching this video. Just kicked the second edition. Can't wait to finally get to play it!

I just bought this game and had it imported from italy, I really enjoy it! It looks like a mistake was made around 1:12:04 mark section 4 was suppose to be flooded but he flooded section A in the explore phase.

+Xan Man I just looked at my nightmare deck and it looks like none of the ways to get out of the city will sink. Only the routes to those locations but not the locations themselves.(At least not the ones with letters).

Just found this channel a month and a half ago. Love the show and am looking forward to season 4. I have already gotten a couple of games that you played. They are Port Royal and Grog Island. Burgle Bros. is next.

It seems to me the best way to get around the issue of sweaty/sticky fingers when laying down cubes onto the pile of corpses is to place the cubes down with tweezers or small tongs rather than with your hands.

Question, if you call the air ship one turn at the end of the turn and it takes five to get there from the calling station how long does the air ship wait for u?

I was just wondering, on the first day phase when part of the city sunk. He flipped a 4 but put it on A? Was that a mistake or am I missing something?

Question: If i am not in the path i'm taking to move to the next area, can i "cheat" and kill a zombie and smash it on the Corpse Pile to reset it a bit? They will all go in ring 3 on a side we are ignoring.

I want so much this game :(

I kinda wish you would have just gone ahead and done the ending anyway. That aspect of the game kinda feels anticlimactic. Otherwise it seems great though.

@ 1:43:01 Dave suggested at least 1 barricade can hold of 3 zombies, but Matthew said they would just attack the barricade and walk in so putting 1 barricade there is like nothing. I think that it's wrong, because 1 barricade stops 3 zombies, regardless. Then when they attack, during the attack phase, the barricade is gone. In other words if the zombies movement would have moved then into the barricade spot, then 1 barricade would have stopped them from being in hand to hand range... right? So 1 barricade IS worth it... again, right?

At 1:05:00 (roughly) when Matthew meleed a purple zombie thanks to stress, shouldn't he have killed another one since his score is 2? Or is melee a maximum potential damage on a single target and i missed that? edit : nevermind, i mistook the barricade in the other legal zone for a zombie, so it's fine either way (although the question is theoretically valid)

The publisher is putting together a Kickstarter for a second edition that will have component upgrades and some game content changes. Hopefully this will either give you a chance to back the game or get it in retail after the campaign. Thanks for the note and for watching.

Thanks for showing this game! Is amazing, watching you so thrilled before every drop on the pile of corpses! XD About "Carnival Zombie 2nd" Kickstarter, you can find news on BBG and recently there is also a facebook page. facebook.com/Carnival-Zombie-2nd-Edition-Kickstarter-1508607102797395/ Anyway the cruelty of the Venice's Leviathan is subtle... By facing waves of zombies is easy to forget that the deadliest boss is under your feet... I think next time you may take more risks and keep more stressed your heroes to go faster. :D

I just played this tonight and I don't think you empty the pile of corpses at the end of the night. I may have missed it in the rulebook but it's not one of the steps on the back. Makes things really intense but Brighelm(?) has an item to clear it off.

+DuelistVash Check page 14 in the latest version of the rule book: - Remove all the Infected from the Tactical Map and the Pile of Corpses and put them back in the Abyss; There wouldn't be enough cubes if you never put them back, plus it doesn't make sense thematically. You move to a new location each day. Thanks for watching and for the note.

+DuelistVash It does make sense, since it's a pile of corpses that builds up in the location you're currently fighting in. When you leave the location, you leave the pile behind, so every night starts with an empty square and no pile...

Wow, this game was amazing until the ending. I cant believe the game can end with two random card draws. It is like the most anti-climactic ending to an epic game. I really enjoyed the video though. It had me searching the web trying to find a copy when I took breaks form the video, but the ending just saved me $100, lol.

The second edition hit kickstarter yesterday deluxe edition is around $100 and added a ton of content. Deluxe so far gets you 8 new bosses, 3 new characters, scenarios for very specific experiences www.kickstarter.com/projects/62517270/carnival-zombie-second-edition/description

lame ending, there should be a mechanic to add tons of stress to let you try to find the boat again... 3 hrs of coordinated effort plus 2 bad draws = you lose

Yeah...I’m surprised no one mentioned that in the video. This would make me not want to play the game.

Wish I had never seen this video which was the catalyst to me backing the 2nd edition. What a fucking joke of a KS campaign....
