@@tarynjones1611 No passports are needed for any close-looped cruises departing from the US (leaving and returning to the same US port). A birth certificate and government-issued photo ID is needed if you don't have a passport or passport card. You will show either during port check in embarkation day and then upon return to US Customs. You don't need either for any of the ports in Mexico, just your ship card (they suggest a photo ID but that is never asked for). Have fun!

I just made reservations for me and my family tonight January 2, 2023 our ship sails out of New Orleans on June 26 through July 1 going to Cozumel and Yotney Progresso thank you for your video we’ve only been on one other cruise about five years ago we had a good time then we hope to have a good time now on this one

We are sailing on June 23rd too! Been on many Carnival ships, but first time on the Valor! Looks nice!

Our first cruise was March 21st through the 26th. We were on Carnival Valor. It is an older ship but we absolutely loved it. We will be on it again August 26th of 2023. We are so excited! We didn’t carry any children with us and we’re ok with other children. We didn’t have to take care of them so it was all good! Lol!

We just disembarked yesterday. The ship is old and needs updating. Eat breakfast in the dining room. Literature says a passenger capacity of 2974. We had 3400+ plus the crew

Thanks for commenting. 2,980 is Valor's capacity using double occupancy (two in every room, even if it can fit more). If every room was sold at its max capacity that increases to 3,756, so your estimate shows what summer sailings can certainly resemble.

@@NogVlog Overall the cruise itself was great, just wish more food stations were open later other than pizza. Yes this was the cruise I’ll always remember because James was super drunk🤣. Caused us delays & cut our port days short. I’m glad he was found alive tho.

Venue-wise they are very similar, and Pride is just a little smaller of course. I thought the theming of the Valor would be a little corny going in but really enjoyed it once on the ship. Haven't sailed on Pride to have any option in that regard for her.

Really enjoyed the video. Very detailed. I will be sailing on July 25th. Can't wait.

Going on the Valor from New Orleans in a few days and I like what I saw from the tour of the ship in this video especially where everything is located. This video has me more excited to go on the Carnival Valor. I do have one question, are they forcing everyone to wear masks in the terminal before going into the ship or was it optional?

@@caseytodd7632 there wasn't much i saw as far as activities, except for mini golf, a basketball and volleyball area on the sports deck. If you like swimming then theres the pool on the 9th floor on the front and back. There is a casino and arcade on the 5th floor and there is that dance club(only 21+ in age allowed to go in) that has a Saturday Night Fever type of dance floor by the arcade. They have a theater where you can go watch live music at night and some trivia during the day in the area you first get on the ship.There are some good places to eat at for free but there are some places as to where you have to use your room key and there is fine dining on the 3rd floor(i forgot what the name of it was called.) Remember before the ship leaves the port you have to go to your muster station on the 4th floor to know what to do just in case of an emergency and how to use your life jacket and after that you can do whatever you want.

@@caseytodd7632 i also forgot to mention there is a comedy club on the 5th floor and on the 9th floor in the front pool area there will be some movies being played all day if i remember correctly.

I've had a whale of a time getting on the Valor. My first attempt was canceled by Carnival, my second attempt was cancelled by me at a moment was omricrom was raging badly, and now I booked the Valor again for a solo cruise on April 2023. I would've booked sooner, but I'm going on the Carnival Horizon for their Halloween cruise. Here's hoping the third time is the charm!
