I was on a tour in Ensenada several years ago and one of the people on the tour bus was complaining about how expensive the gift shops were in Mexico. He said that there was no way he was going to pay $62 for a lousy souvenir t-shirt! That person was so embarrassed when it was explained to him that the PESO currency also uses the dollar ($) symbol. The t-shirt was actually $62 Pesos which is only $3 USD.

Hello it’s your Gardena neighbor here. I have a very good tip for you both. Next time you go to Ensenada, take a tour bus to La Bufadora. Not sure if you know about it. It’s a sight where the ocean creates a blow hole when it hits the shore. There is a big flea market there and at the end of the flea market they sell this amazing seafood. It’s known as smoked clams, (in Spanish Almejas Gratinadas con Camarones) it has pico de gallo, cheese and diced shrimp on top. It is out of this world delish!! I still dream about it 6 years later. There are several stands that sell this, but our tour guide recommended the stand at the very end of the market. You would love it!! There is also a very good taco stand at the start of the market as well.

If your cruise stops in Cabo a must stop in the marina is Sanchos bar and if you want some amazing seafood Watchinangos is also a short walk

Love seeing you guys back on a cruise! Cruising is my fav (being out on the ocean, relaxing on my balcony, drinks and fun in the casino, watching live music everywhere, etc.), but I hope you two foodies will get to travel on other lines that have better food. ;) I know you take it for what it is, but there really are some excellent restaurants out there on cruise ships. Carnival's new Mardi Gras has some great ones too. Really enjoying this series, thanks for sharing!

We watch you religiously and even predict what you will both like most....we get it right about 85% of the time and are always excited to see those big smiles when things taste delicious and even those 'whoops, this one didn't work out' moments. We have never commented before and now have a bet whether you will mention, 'Mike and Diane', on one of your shout outs (please say something eventually as I'll be getting my favorite rib dinner if I win ~ haha). Other cruise lines have better food but Carnival has best lunch options !

Ensanada is actually one of the most beautiful cruise ports.

I always enjoy your videos ... we have cruised with Carnival several times and always have breakfast once or twice at the Blue Iguana. Their food is great and the salsa bar offers a good variety.
