I am a former player of this instrument. The amount of time and discipline that went into this - not to mention the professionalism - is beyond my comprehension. But I feel sorry for virtuoso Euphonium players now because there seems to be so few orchestral works that score for it. But there's always KZread.

As a lifelong lover of euphonium and a player of the instrument, I am astounded by this performance. The speed and precision of running parts, trills, and especially harmony parts is dazzling.

Next, you can compose all you want but SOMEBODY has to perform that jungle mess of notes- hats off to Misa and Steven!! You can't forget the accompanist on piano, that provides support that helps build the foundation. I wish there was a symposium of beautiful, super-talented specialists for the different instruments, the best of the best here in the capital of Texas. That would be awesome!!!!

@@Davidandrawes7 Yes absolutely right ! I never heard them play togheter before. And its the first thing I tought: she is clearly his student thats why they play excellent togheter. She is great but he got that bit extra that makes him a worldclass soloist. His tone is just that bit larger , stronger and clearer. And his articulation is very crisp. You notice that well in the parts they dont play togheter and in the low register, there he is more accurate.
