She might deserve more recognition from the general public as lets be honest she is a critical darling at this point but I think what she lacks in pure numbers and recognition, the fans she has are so enthusiastic and dedicated to her and her music that we make up for any lack of numbers. EMOTION and DEDICATED are incredible efforts and even KISS and TUG OF WAR have some absolute bops on them (of the pure cheese variety). She really is at the top of her game and the pop game in general. If nothing else she'll be retroactively revered as one of the greatest when decades pass. QUEEN.

The reason she hasn't maintained mainstream success is because she's evolved into a completely different (and much better) artist than they've come to expect of her and they can't understand or comprehend this. I've been recently diagnosed with BPD. It's a strange feeling listening to this song now and looking back at the many ways I used to relate to it. Even with medication, I still do sometimes. I now see it as a reminder to forgive and let go of every "too much" I struggled with and didn't understand, but above all it reminds me to be kind to myself. I was doing the best I could with the knowledge I had at the time, and I'm doing the best that I can today.

I have loved the sound she’s going for since EMOTION. It’s that perfect synth pop.

Emotion is one of those albums I consider near fucking perfect. And that even goes for the deluxe expanded version. And yet somehow emotion side B, and the two dedicated albums live up to that legacy. Every time I tell people you need to listen to her albums they say the same thing: oh the Call Me maybe girl? No! She is so much more than that and has been for more than half a decade

Most underrated singer of our times with a huge fanbase across borders

Making a proper statement about Carly. I don't think she will ever be a flop and a failure, she has a good almost 9M monthly reproductions on Spotify and will always have her most known song Call Me Maybe to be on the radio and her masterpiece album Emotion. I've seen artists with less than that having a good music industry run still in it. She still can get millions of views on youtube. Personally, I think *Real Love* should be promoted as a single, there are many songs that could go good, but that one has a clear potential at least for me. Get it on the radio, tv, tv shows, etc.
