Exactly, right? The show is primarily designed and scripted to showcase Will Smith's charisma, which is understandable. But Alfonso Ribeiro is such an amazing character actor, he has his own talent and charm and he played his supporting (and sometimes semi-antagonistic) role as Carlton Banks to the hilt.

The eye roll Tom Jones does is gold

Legend has it that in 100 years Tom Jones will return from the mist and bless us with his presence and his glorious voice

As a Welsh kid growing up watching this in the 90's this officially blew my mind

I have ALWAYS loved Tom Jones as a kid. Tom Is SOOO cool that at 1:25 when he stands up there is tissue stuck to his right wrist area and he gets rid off it and never even skips a beat!! I am absolutely loving that royal blue and black combo.That's my sweetheart!!😍😍😘😘💖💖.

I have seen the Fresh Prince plenty of times, but this is the first time seeing this scene and it was just beautiful. Tom Jones can sing really well and admire his voice. Alphonso has always been mad talented. I remember him a long way back to the Pepsi commercial with Michael Jackson and a friend on Silver Spoons.

Epic moment... i Will never forget it... TOTALLY EPIC.

That's because back then sitcoms like this were worth doing for big stars who were also fans of the shows. Fresh Prince had great writing and acting and was a big hit so no surprise the amount of great stars the show had. Sitcoms today can't say the same to where only "stars" who are desperate for an easy check will do them.

So it was a big deal whenever big stars would appear on a tv show, especially a sitcom which says a lot about the greatness and popularity of sitcoms like Fresh Prince, Married with Children, Living Single, Seinfeld, Golden Girls etc. to get such talent to come on and have fun.

Alfonso was mad talented singing dancing definitely prob the best dancer on the show.
