9:05 Let's do the procedure 😂
At this point I'm starting to think Magnus doesn't actually remember any openings and just plays on pure instinct hahaha
@lifeisawesomelife6971

He knows all the openings. He plays bad openings because he doesn't like draws or theory.
@mayebeline1149
Ай бұрын
He has to remember the openings in order to purposely deviate from them. When neither player can rely on theory, it comes down to calculation, which he's extremely confident in. He gives up some material or tempo, but in exchange he transforms the game into something he's more comfortable with than his opponent. If you're familiar with Jujutsu Kaisen, a disruptive opening is Magnus's Domain Expansion.
@Blindeh

I thought thats why he stepped away from classical chess, especially world championship, which is just a grind fest of theory. It's noticeable he also won the tournament where they had random starting positions where theorey has no place.

@@mayebeline1149that’s some crazy analogy
I fully support you mentioning Kramnik's "procedure" every time an opponent makes a good move.
that procedure thing is on point by kramnik LUL
please make the Kramnik "procedure" permanent on the best chess channel
Oh my poor Valery. He must have been nervous.. Good to know I make the same blunders as FMs!
1:08 He goes what?! 😂😂😂😂 So hilarious!
Those were fun games and fun commentaries. Thanks James
Valery was distracted by the sound of Vlad’s procedure
when magnus plays this "trash", it's only for a couple of moves, and for the purpose of creating non-standard positions. after that, he plays stellar chess. it's a risky strategy, but it produces dividends.

".... for the purpose of creating non-standard positions." Precisely! I'll bet nobody has prepared for some of the openings he produces, which is a huge huge plus for Magnus.
10:56 Always centralize your king during the end game. Timing is crucial. Kf3 was not on my bingo card.
Magnus and Epic Chess name a better duo! ❤
Magnus be just having fun effortlessly and his opponents be super SERIOUS😢😂
You need a Carlos Magnusson video titled: "Carlos Magnusson plays completely amazingly but gets utterly trashed."
You are my favorite commentator! Thanks for all you do.

@@epicchess2021 Thanks for reading the comments and interacting with us...ahem.. below 1000 players.. and the more experienced ones as well! I started playing chess about 2 months ago when I accidentally stumbled across a Magnus Carlson game analysis and was hooked. It's a bit sad that at age 60 it's unlikely I'll ever acquire a respectable rating, because it seems like time is a big factor in reaching Grandmaster territory. However, the awesome thing about chess is that as long as one is playing against someone with a similar rating, the games can be fun and competitive.
Loved this commentary! Sharp
Oh wow that second game was epic
The intimidation effect of Magnus does help him win, like a little buffer you get when you reach the top
11:21 I was in my back yard when this happened. I heard the scream.
Love your content man! Just gonna leave a suggestion, It would be great if you left the link to the games in the description of your videos!! That even helps with the channel's SEO on the long run.

great work
Small quibble, but these openings are closer to recycling than trash (considering the fact that Magnus was able to covert them into something useful).
The procedure! LMAO
That audio message XD
Have a feeling he was drunk. Lunkes to play wild moves when he is drinking
Great analysis. No bs. True enthusiasm

Poor old Vlad; he's made himself a laughing stock. I'm not crying for him. He should know better. Remember when Topalov accused him of cheating?
You go to a concert expecting Mozart and all you get is J pop.

Glad you liked it!
Valery shows Magnus how to sacrifice his queen without any reason in future openings !!
Just timely drop of fun chess with excellent commentary. Sometimes I wish my father could play Magnus. Would be damn fun. (And "trash openings" wouldn't work here. He knows them too and how to counter them... ;) )
He could have beaten Magnus w/o that queen blunder of putting his k/q in a line accessible to the other queen but how many times have I done that? millions.
Next: Magnus defeats GM with Botez Gambit
The kid put up a good fight. 🙌
Love me some Titled Tuesday Chess 😎
Hes got an open rook file in 4 moves

I’m confused whether this is compliment or criticism lol
born 2004, 20y old upcoming super gm
Apparently that trash defense is not so bad after all.
Just imagine winning against magnus and then hanging your queen. I have done the same in tournaments against way higher rated players. I get super excited and my excitement blinds me. Forcing a queen trade while Im up a pawn and a rook, only to realize the pawn that was supposed to take the queen back, was pinned by a sniper on the other end of the board. That feeling sucks! But hey, that's chess. The week before that a lower rated player got me cornered, few moves from a mate, while being up a knight and two pawns, but he moved his king the wrong way while I threw in a desparate check, blundering mate in 1. So it works both ways. Anyway, keep up the good work, love your channel!

Nice.😎
Chess is so exhausting that we blunder easy tactics at the end of a hard game, even I saw the x ray on the queen instantly and I'm only 1250

Love a trash opening❤
But Magnus can't defeat Ding in Genke, twice. Other players can beat Ding. Ding is Magnus's achille heel.
Well if Magnus was able to win with it then it wasn't a just a trash move & it wasn't Ludicrous....

Hilarious once again
He's sometimes Tommy Cooper in a way, Carlsen. Performing magic even when he isn't. That poor guy playing white in the 2nd game now has the complete bragging rights of making the most awful blunder ever made against the best player ever. I'd know how to get a couple of free rounds in any bar, for decades to come.

The first player does not look like GM material at all. Curious. Once again with a Chilean GM who plays like a chess club guy.

I was going to say, don't you ever tire of being embarrassed by calling Magnus's play "trash" and "garbage" in games he ends up winning easily. Then I remembered you already knew Magnus won when you dissed his play, so you did it on purpose. It's your shtick, your persona, to be made a fool by Carlsen. Whatever gets you the subs, mate! More effective even than trotting out Kramnick and his pathetic cheater accusations.
opening trash tuesday xD
Mate I've stopped watching for the Chess it's the Comedy that's the star of the show.
