Rd1 Rd4 a4 c4 is just brilliancy over the board. No player could've found that in a blitz game and then there's Magnus

The hardest thing Magnus did in the blitz is jump that hurdle @10:25.
Magnus intuition is insane
insane computer moves played instantly. engine at low depth doesn't even do it justice (initially evaluated at 91 accuracy, then adjusted to 95.6). craziest thing is he's not even really calculating when he plays these lines. he just has the brilliant foresight and unparalleled intuition of the right ideas in any given position.

Even when Magnus is playing at intution he is much better than other super GMs trying hard to find good moves

He used to know more or less in terms of calculations. What’s insane to me is that I think he got so bored, he changed his whole playstyle around 2019, maybe even earlier, to be more free thinking and unpredictable. It’s almost as if he does that on purpose. It’s really fascinating to watch his playing evolution.
Not thinking is my strategy also.

7:47 Yangyi scrunched his face, showing utter confusion. MAG was about 10 moves ahead there
at 8:05 why not Nb6 to stop the pawn. If Ra6 then Nc8 Ra8 you can sacrifice the knight because of pawn on C.

Rxa6 Nc8 Bxc8 first, then after Rxc8 Rb7 followed by Rb8 just wins (the two connecters are easily stopped if black chooses to sac the rook )
