The philosophies are amazing and very thought provoking. The Godfather 2 and the Gambino family is very similar. Members didn't want Big Paul for Boss but he made a lot of money and had Roy Demeo backing him up. Same with Michael he made the family a lot of money and had Al Neri backing him up.

It was said by someone who had been in that, that the people in that who are boisterous do not last. I remember a female sergeant in the army. She was in the mess hall. She was always very quiet and said as little as possible. Once she came on post and brought a German male friend on post. Some guy intimidated the guy guy she was with. She warned the guy to knock it off and it got serious. The guy she was with couldn't do anything but she could. She took the guy out with a round house. Nobody knew anything about her being able to do that before that happened. It turned out when she was in Korea she took martial art lessons from the masters there. I finally asked why she was very quiet all the time. She said because not everybody is her friend. She said when she talks she's revealing information about yourself that could be used against her in some way. With the soldiers under her, they try to get friendly with her so they can get some sort of advantage and if she gets friendly with just one of them, that would ruin cohesion. She said it's best to keep everything on a professional level. She made E6 just before going to another unit. Heard she made E7. I looked her up on FB but there's nothing.

I think it’s important to state that Anastasia wasn’t simply killed as a chess move, He was also viewed as a hot head who brought more trouble than he was worth. I believe the Schuster murder had a lot to do with it as well.

Yeah! Bonanno did he's a original boss coming from under Maranzano family in the early 30's. But he is a coward that couldn't finish what he started with Don Carlo and than lost the war against the gambino's and couldn't face Carlo personally just to run to arizona, than Bonanno wait for Don Carlo to die and have the nerve to write a book bringing down the La Costra Nostra, and saying Carlo was no one to worry about. Luciano foretold that Gambino would take over from him in Cuba, Havana when Lansky bought Casinos for the Cosa Nostra. It was not Gambino who reported to Lucky but Meyer about the HLE killing of Schuster and that it brought too much heat. Gambino was the one sent to Lucky because they were Sicilians Lucky was sad and couldn't say yes so he just nodded his head.

Dude! Angelo Delacroix was hitman no one could rival in the mob. Other mob bosses feared Gambino because of Anielo Delacroix. He made sure no one disrespected Carlo Gambino. People feared Gambino because suddenly anyone could disappear and become a missing person on the feds list.

*Heads Up:* You may want to correct a mistake. You got your history wrong on one crucial aspect of Carlo Gambino's story: He traveled to America in 1921. You claim he did so to flee Benito Mussolini's new Fascist Italian state, but Mussolini didn't gain power in Italy until late 1922- unable to truly gain it in all of the Italian territories later than this. Remember, Mussolini wasn't recognized as El Ducé- the supreme leader of the Italian state-in it's provinces and colonies until at least 1924 after he'd had time to fully consolidate his power in Rome, and after he had the time to expand the police state & swell his personal "Blackshirt" army of political agitators. I'm not 100% certain of what Carlo Gambino's true motivation was to leave Sicily, but I am certain that it couldn't have been to escape Mussolini's Fascist state. If I had to speculate, I'd say it's more likely he was escaping criminal charges from the local Sicilian police. If not that, it may be as simple as him recognizing there was more money to be made in the US than in Sicily, and that America was a new market with less much competition to overcome if you wanted to rise to the top. This type of shrewd calculation is very much consistent with Carlo's nature. Another (but less likely) explanation may be that he'd insulted or crossed an older and more powerful mafioso in Sicily, and he needed to get away from him at all cost. Perhaps he'd unwittingly slept with one of the Sicilian mobsters' wives or girlfriends, and his health was now placed in immense risk in Sicily.
