Carlin Ali and Jenn Moffat: in the spotlight
Derby head coach Carlin Ali and assistant coach/Athletic director, Jenn Moffat discuss what had been a very successful softball season for the Derby Softball team, recognizing all the hardwork these girls have put into the season, only needing 2 more wins to qualify for the state tournament. Carlin and Jenn could not be prouder of the work ethic and dedication these young kids have put forth throughout the season.
In addition to that, Jenn also will discuss an event that she helped develop 13 years ago, the “ Pink game “ which raises money for Breast Cancer. The “ pink game “ game event will take place tomorrow, May 4th, 2024, at Payden field in derby, starting at 10 AM with the JV game between Derby vs Stratford, followed by the JV game between Woodland vs Cheshire at 1pm, which will then be followed by the varsity game between Notre Dame of Fairfield vs Stratford, at 4 pm, and then the raiderettes will host cross town rival Ansonia at 7 pm, and finally concluding things will be the annual Alumni game at 8:30.
All proceeds for this wonderful event will be donated to the Hewitt center for Breast wellness at Griffin Hospital!
