Hometown heroes: Maya Winkowski, Emilia Hejmowski, Sasha Capelle
Tonight, is a very special “ Hometown heroes “ these 3 middle school athletes are making tremendous strides in their running careers. They have the dedication and commitment, and the results speak for themselves. Maya, Sasha and Emilia were recently elected captains of the summer running program at Derby. Their coaches can’t say enough about the work ethic they put forth each and everyday. Derby high school has been very successful with their Cross country and track programs, and these 3 young running phenoms are examples of what the future brings to Derby Running.
