Disagreement doesn’t even when it is a blatant lie. Just because you tell a lie very respectfully, it doesn’t become true. He knew the universe wasn’t a result of random e events. No matter how long you wait, if you mix water and salt it won’t ever become acid and base.

True we know nothing about the beginning of the universe, but if we ARE observing expansion...wouldn't it stand to reason that these things are expanding from somewhere? If we are observing spatial objects getting further and further apart, logic would dictate that as you reverse time...they get closer and closer together until ultimately they all come together as one? Again, this is all ultimately a guess, but I think it's a pretty solid one.

Refer to the book of Isaiah, and Psalm 22 of the Old Testament, for direct and precise predictions. Again, they are proven by science to have existed prior to the proven existence of Jesus Christ through Roman legal documents that are not related to Christianity. Dead Sea Scrolls are carbon dated to before Jesus was alive. They contain the Old Testament predictions of Jesus Christ and his life and his death. Refer to the book of Isaiah, and Psalm 22 of the Old Testament, for direct and precise predictions. Again, they are proven by science to have existed prior to the proven existence of Jesus Christ through Roman legal documents that are not related to Christianity. Many people are simply misinformed because Jesus said repent. "If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is lord, and believe in your heart that he was raised from the dead, you will be saved".

He was very insightful in many ways however the clip of the above interview highlights an unfounded assumption he was still clinging to. The assumption was based on the steady state eternal universe idea that was prevalent among scientists in the early part of the 20th century. There was already strong evidence in Sagans day of a beginning to the universe in the finite past, ruling out a past infinite universe. That evidence has become multi-pronged and more established by testing and observation since. The Big Bang Theory, pointing to the beginning of our universe, has strong theistic implications acknowledged by many scientists (atheists, agnostics and believers alike). So Sagans famous quote :”The universe is all there is, all there was and all there’ll ever be.” can’t be really taken seriously in light of the strongly established evidence. There are other things Sagan said that overtime have been shown to be not as sure as he felt they were. I wonder if he was still here, in light of much scientific evidence that has come to the fore since he passed, if he would still hold the same opinions 🤔

Then who made the thing that made God? On and on it goes in a continued repetition of who made who. But God is the uncaused cause. From eternity to eternity. That’s what Christians believe. do you need to have an explanation of an explanation for it to be considered valid? If we suddenly discovered machines on the dark side of the moon where no human had ever been, then we might conclude that Alien life had been there. We would not know who they are or where they are from, but it would be a good explanation of the machinery. Similarly a God like entity who is timeless, intelligent, powerful and personable, could create a universe that has the appearance of design. IMHO

Cause between many different religions and different cultures both religious and non religious we've come up with a pretty okay decent moral standard for living in most countries.
