thank you SO much for this! im a soon-to-be adoptive parent of two giant african land snails, & i was feeling wholly overwhelmed & confused at how brief & vague so much information online is - even in other videos. with this, its looking far more promising that ill be able to give them the best of care & set up a solid itinerary for myself to keep them happy ❤

@@sophieh6215 hes doing well! Hes a big boy now, only had a few cases in the beginning of thinking he died and getting upset only for him to wake up like a day later completely fine and happily eating his cucumber💀 we moved recently and hes now on a much bigger table so im looking to get him a bigger tank for the summer since my new place gets really hot easily and then maybe only use his current one when its the colder months

fabulous video :) can I ask, when you clean the veg you put in for your snails, do you wash it in dechlorinated water? I have just started to take care of an African snail from my daughters work place (she brought it home yesterday ) and I am having to take a huge lesson in snail care! Not sure how to dechlorinate, but I'll find out, so I have been using bottled water to spray down for now. Any advice would be greatly received. Thank you x

Hi, loved this really informative video. I help keep my 6yr old Daughter's Africans and garden snails. Is there any more knowledge you can share regarding snails? I get very flustered when we handle them thinking that they will make us ill if we don't wash our hands really well after handling them which puts a downer on handling time. Can you advise if I can relax more when handling them. Are they as dirty as I think they are. I don't want her getting ill from handling them and touching her face without washing thoroughly afterwards. Please help :)

You mentioned doing another video on pests. As you haven't yet, could you advice in the comments maybe? I am seeing small black insects in my snail tank and I am not sure whether they are harmful. My snail seems fine, however it does seem less active than yours. Thanks!

Would you maybe consider making a document with everything you need to know about African land snails with links on where to get their stuff? I really want to adopt one so a ''manual'' would be really handy.

Hi. Thank you for your very helpful videos. I am getting 2 achatina fulica and would like to try isopods and springtails. Do you feed each their own food? Should I be concerned about springtails getting out?

Hi! Springtails and isopods both eat snail poop, but you should also offer them some supplement food for isopods :) can be bought online or in reptile stores. Springtails and isopods will also much on whatever you feed the snails

Can we use defrosted frozen veg? I've used that for my helix often. They enjoy it, and it doesn't seem to hurt them. I can't afford constant fresh food, but I do have new Achatina Fulica snails. I have throughly researched however can't find an answer for this.

Would you recommend to use kind of lighting either inside or outside of the enclosure? Because it seems kinda dark in my enclosure

I would recommend using it outside the snail enclosure as snails will climb on it and could potentially get burnes if the lamp gets hots

hi! My giant african land snail has been on the ceiling/ walls of his tank for about 2 days. He’s not going down to eat, drink etc and he is very young so I’m scared to pick him up, as that might damage the shell. What should I do?

Do you know anyone in the U.S. that raises GALS? I've been scammed once already and lost $170.00. I like the Albino achintena (my spelling sux) or as long as they will grow into the really big snails. Please let me know.

How to get rid of snail eggs , Step 1, gather the eggs in a bag with some sand, Step 2, bury them in the sand somewhere, step 3, make sure it is safe, with leaves over the spot, step 4, make sure you Don't bury them in a farm or a market
