As a 4-her with four ewes bred this year and we just got our first ram your videos are super helpful and educational. I’m learning so much more than I can share with others. Our animals do get pasture in the daytime and are quite spoiled. We have wool sheep and mainly a breed from England. I really love your videos and watching your lambs so happy makes me so excited and impatient for my lambs to be born

Growing up on an island, my mum and I would take the baby lambs who were rejected or who’s mother had passed and would bottle feed them for the farmer so he could focus on his flock and not need to worry. Then when they were big enough, they would be re-introduced back ☺️ It was cute having them when they were so small but heart breaking when they had to go back

Merry Christmas to you and yours. Bottle (bummer) babies OMGoodness don't get me started. Our flock is small but the first year we had 50 bummer babies. Kinda happens when you don't know what you are doing. Lambs were supposed to be due late March. But they were coming in January. Freezing cold, not set up for little ones yet. Thanks god we had colostrum and lamb replacement formula. They were so cold we had them in house wrapped in blankets warmed in clothes dryer. But we made it thru and have progressively gotten better over the years. We still hand feed but its much better then the first couple of years.

Thank you. I am still new at this, I have only been doing this for 3 years, and I am learning the hard way too. I had a pallet of formula that showed up late so befor it came I went to the local store and bought a different brand of formula, I didn't have a chance to transition them. And it was heartbreaking I lost 31 lambs that bloated. Thank you for your videos so much

My granddaughter who is 9 years old asked me last night why do I watch that channel where there's just nothing but sheep. I laughed and I said but look at the babies. It's soooooo complicated at every step of the way, from breeding to delivery to weaning ,it's a 24hr a day job,not to mention the dog he is adorable with the sheep. You are so involved with their care which is heart warming, wishing you all the best in the coming year,you deserve it, merry Xmas:)

Having raised thousands of calves on milk for veal, I can't believe how sweet your milk machine is! We used to give new calves a shot of iron to overcome anemia, which contributes to scours. Of course, it helps with their general performance too. It's so cheap, it might be worth a try on all your bottle babies to help them along. I had another thought when you observed how quickly the lambs took to the creep feed. Combined with the larger birth weights and overall thrift of this group, I expect they will reach market weight more quickly. But I wonder if they have higher potential to finish a little heavier than most groups? You'll have some experience - not to mention the records - to look back at and see if there is some extra $ potential here. Terrific job girl!

Have used C. Perfringins type c & d in the past. Works great in both bottle babies and as a booster if they had immunization through colostrum.

The bio polar dog training is funny. I do it all the time. You talking baby talk to the new borns, the a deep "out" and the finger to get the dog out. Then going back to baby talk. Mine is talking happily and "hush" in a load voice to stop the fit in the crate, then back to talking.
