Connie Butler if you put browned oxtails in a crockpot with sweet potatoes, onions, celery, carrots & White potatoes before going to work on Low 8 hours, it will be tender and delicious when u get home 😊

Your. Mom brought back memories of my Mom’s soup ( my parents lived in Arima, Trinidad and my middle brother was born there. We hail from St. Vincent). Now, I know how to make dumplings and will make oxtail soup this winter! Thank you! You are a beautiful family!

That bandanyah/culantro is the magic. It gives that real Trini taste. Some pumpkin adds some good flavor and texture too. You could put the oxtail in the pressure cooker if you are in a hurry but when you cook it slowly in a regular pot it usually tastes better.

Believe it or not I had never eaten oxtail until about two years ago. There is a Cuban restaurant here that makes them every Saturday. They sell out fast. Rich's Mom is beautiful! I like how close your family is. That is hard to find nowadays. I love how they all love on your girls. You are so blessed!
