I live around the corner from Lips Cafe (Flatbush, Brooklyn) and I have tried Ms. Donna's Saltfish Wraps! I can personally tell you - this woman KNOWS saltfish! I never heard of anyone preparing saltfish the way she did and let me tell you - it was unbelievable!! Honestly, if you're in Brooklyn, go try one for yourself!

I actually eat from LIPS Cafe, and the salt fish bake is my favorite. It’s very salty, so I’m not sure what blue shirt was talking about. The salt fish is really good in my opinion. It’s really cool to see the owner here.

Yeah, she has a warm typical older Aunty, but its a sin to be a older adult from Guyana and you dont know how to make something as simple as Salt Fish properly. Her Salt Fish didn't even have tomatoes, and didn't seem like it much of any type of other seasoning or herbs, just looked plain

As a Trini, I'm glad Eustacia came last with her fresh water Yankee accent!! First of all, saltfish is not only cooked by Trinibagonians, it's a delicacy in the whole of the Caribbean. Even in Latin Caribbean countries, they have saltfish but called bacalao!! Also, she got humbled with that funky attitude of hers!!

Using Salt Fish is mostly a English Caribbean thing, that originated in Portugal I think. A few other places use it, but they dont make it the way we do.

Everyone adds their own twist to traditional recipes , those handed down recipes from grandma had grandma's personal touch too...no household in any country cooks the same way , let alone different countries. All Caribbean countries make Saltfish differently. My mom is From the Grenadines and my dad is from Jamaica. They both cook it differently 😊. It also has to do with how the person likes it. I cook mines differently from both my parents.

Yep That's the main issue So if you not accustomed to how other countries make it, you will think the people cook it wrong. Trinis make saltfish buljol which has a lot of oil, while Jamaicans make with almost none, so to each other it will never be good enough

Jamaican saltfish is the best, it's a part of our national dish, it pairs well with ackee,cooked vegetables, starchy foods, plantain, it's very yummy when incorporated into saltfish flitters

the way the lady in blue said that saltfish said that it should only be prepared in Trinidad when its literally in the national dish of Jamacia and St.lucia

what I get is that people like the way they prepare their dishes the best

Bernice’s dish looks so favorable. I don’t eat much, but I’m honestly more willing to try hers than the others. She definitely added some love into it as well.

Nope its look bland and white for a Guyanese salt fish.

Not surprised, they each seem to only like it the way they make it and they all made it so differently. Lady in blue was pretty mean for no reason though, they all had the same reactions to each others food but not everyone said it wasn't fit for animals.

“They had the nerve to give us some rotten tomatoes. These people are too much.” Best line I’ve ever heard.

These women were really hard on each other sheesh

So proud of miss Donna. Vincy's can cook real good. We're the gem of the Antilles after all 🇻🇨💎😊

It was refreshing to see a group of three all being nice and honest. Most of the other videos, it feels like people deliberately give low scores to the others so that they’ll win.
