I was thinking the same thing about the P trap comment. It will smell and slosh around when driving. I wonder if a big pcv valve that you open only when showering or a drain cap in the shower floor would save some room and secure the water? This is the best shower video I have found. The technical advice is so helpful! Thank you for the video and inspiration!

Man I ordered that same shower pan, it was too flimsy for me, sent it back to Amazon, and decided to build my own with fiberglass/epoxy. Great video man 🤙🏼

Kevin my suggestion would be to get some plumbers tape or some duct strap and but it from frame rail to frame rail to support the gray tank the tank full of water will weigh 83.4 pounds and if you have water in the tank while traveling to dumb it that's allot of weight that will be sloshed around. Just a suggestion. Keep it up all what you've done looks good.

First let me say, I really enjoy your videos. What I say are not criticisms, but things to maybe think about. A few things that came to mind while watching and mentioned in other comments. Tank support. Strapping around tank and/or flat bar the length of the tank instead of the large washers. Some way to keep the odors of the tank from coming up into the trailer. Lastly, if that is clear vinyl hose you're using I have had it grow black mold within a year of installing it. It had city water running through it occasionally more as a sight gauge than anything else. Mold isn't good.

I couldn't hear sound because of where I was, but as a suggestion Kevin, if you haven't already decided to do it, I would use some Great Stuff foam and spray all over underneath that pan where there isn't wood. It will just stabilize it even more and it's a very small cost for the peace of mind you get knowing that none of it can move around at all and there's no cold air getting in there either

Sure enough, you will tear it up with that medieval drillbit never seen a drillbit like that and if that’s new to you, you should stick with a drillbit that you’re familiar with because it looks like that will destroy your tank

No trap needed if you don't piss down the drain. Put a plug in or cover the drain when not using. A small vent to outside is your friend. Bubbles could turn out to be a pain in the butt with this system

No no no no no no no. This is absolutely an example of what not to do. No to the pan being supported at all on the sides (it can't handle that). No to the mess of two by fours and plywood just laying underneath it to somewhat support it. No to elevating it period at all. No to that mess of drain to clear flex tubing to this to that, no no no. Put the pan directly onto the floor. Get a normal straight down drain to take it out below the floor. Underneath trailer, turn drain, put p trap, also probably need a vent, then into the grey tank. Put the grey tank down from the bottom of the trailer some to make it the elevation that you need. Mercy mercy mercy mercy mercy.

Kevin, I agree with the suggestions of the p trap, supporting the shower pan and the support straps to the frame members underneath. As close as your connections are a valve might be better than a p trap. If that tank has water in it while you are traveling, it is going to come out the shower drain. Just my 2 cents worth. Enjoy and look forward to your videos.

You really should put that shower on a bed of mortar because it needs to be COMPLETELY supported otherwise it'll crack. And like others said, "P" trap.

Never understood why bother putting a grey water tank in, just let it flow freely onto the ground. Just don't put chemicals in your water or sink.

On your own property great, dump your waste water, but in other places that is nasty and irresponsible. Also campgrounds require you to have holding tanks. Imagine pulling up to a site if everyone did this before soggy and smelling. Don’t give CTC people a bad name. Dump your waste water in an approved facility. Do you leave your trash at your sure too for the next camper?

@@TheAllang123 stfu! Grey water is nothing more then shower water or dish water. Hurts nothing and is actually good for watering plants, etc. I don't give a rats ass what a campground wants. Boondocking is not a campground. I have been boondocking and traveling in a trailer for years now. Never an issue, so relax Karen.
