I've now seen quite a few of these Carf Mephisto demonstrations. In the hands of a capable pilot, there seems to be no limitations to what the jet can do! This young man pilots that plane as if he were inside it. And may I also highly commend your filmmaking skills in chronicling this phenomenal and exquisite flight! 😎

Well, the dry weight of the model is 18 kg (from the description). The max thrust of the turbine is 32 kg (link to turbine specs in the description). Say, model weight with fuel maybe 23 kg? Thrust reduced by inlet losses etc to maybe 28 kg or so. So, this plane will have a thrust to weight ratio exceeding unity for sure.

Good question. I scanned the manufacturer's website page for this plane. It seems to be standard on this model, but I couldn't find an explanation what it does. Maybe it generates a little extra lift at high alpha manoeuvres? Or it's a turbulences generator? I'm curious too.

So want the airplane... So want the skills to fly it too You would think the military would be trying to recruit young men/women like this RC Pilot for their Drone programs and future Drone warfare.

Flying upside down is easy, if you've done it a couple of times and have gotten used to the changed orientation. I've never quite mastered knife edge flight, I've found the weird coupling between the rudder, ailerons and elevator very tricky. Also google images for "symmetrical airfoil". I'm pretty sure that's what this jet uses for its wing. Such an airfoil makes it (relatively) easy to fly upside down. To explain knife edge flight, imagine the fuselage moving through the air as a wing, generating lift. Again, google images for "knife edge flight", and you'll find some diagrams explaining how it works.
