Eastern Christians are generally appalled to have Rupnik's artwork described as blending in "Eastern" styles. They take one look and say, "That crap is _not_ representative of _us_ and the beauty of _our_ artistic tradition. Our stuff looks like icons, not like mere cartoons." (And they were saying this _before_ Rupnik was shown to be a pervert.)

When a person enters holy orders as a novice, seminarian, priest or religious, they say “no” to sex. Therefore anyone at all who makes a sexual proposition to them is ipso facto guilty of harassment. If it’s another cleric, it’s sexual harassment in the workplace. That’s a sacking offence in most jurisdictions. For a cleric, there is no such thing as consensual sex. So it’s irrelevant if Rupnik’s victims were adults or not.

It's worse than you probably know. Yes, Rupnik used his sex with the nuns (and they testified to his actions in Court), but Rupnik also used his sex with normally sacred objects (chalice) & forced these nuns to participate in his perversion. This perverts' art is being promoted in real time from the Vatican. They must be laughing at anyone who is upset with their demonic actions. The Vatican has been taken over. Homosexuality is one of their Crown Jewels. Perversion is close behind. There is talk of the V. Bank & child traf....ing. But there is a remnant of the One Holy Catholic and Apostolic Church. Someday there will be justice. Christ keeps His promises. 🙏✝️🙏

Just sit back now and try to relax. O'Malley's got this. Whew!!! Bergoglio wouldn't dare expunge O'Malley! O'Malley came in, kicked out Law, and got to the bottom of it all!! Yeah!!! Re: The Synodal Way: Hey, Germans: You must not _contradict_ the dogmas of Catholic ecclesiology! But, there's nothing wrong with _bicameralism._ So, Germans, have you considered the following structure/system? - "house #1, the lower house": Lay legislature, in which the bishops are present as observers; - "house #2, the upper house": Bishops' conference, in which the laity are present as observers; To pass and be enacted within any _given_ diocese, a given piece of legislation must... 1. be approved _in forma specifica_ by a majority of the members of _both_ "houses"; 2. be signed off on (not vetoed) by the bishop of _that_ diocese in which the legislation is to be enacted; and, 3. not be vetoed by the pope (acting directly or through a legate/nuncio). Re: Vetos: In the event that a bishop of one diocese vetoes the legislation, his veto may be overridden, but only by a 50%-plus-one vote of one "house" and a 3/5ths vote of the other (or by the Roman Pontiff instructing that bishop to reverse his veto). The veto of the pope cannot, of course, be overturned. This would, I think, satisfy the German desire for lay involvement, without breaking the doctrinal/ecclesiological requirement that: (a.) the bishop of a diocese is monarchical, and a true overseer; (b.) the bishops, not the laity, have the charism of shepherding their flock in their dioceses, including legislatively; and (c.) the Roman Pontiff, both as successor of Peter and as Patriarch of the West, has jurisdiction as per Vatican I.

Catholicism could die out entirely in Germany, and the Asians and Africans would be perfectly capable of re-evangelizing the (then-pagan) German people. There's _infinite_ hope for the Church, with-or-without any given country's population. Or did you mean to say that the _opinions_ of those who favor the Synodal Way are the "only hope?" If _that's_ what you mean, I must ask: Why would that be true? Which of their opinions do you believe the Church can't do without?

People with serious claims against another person or institution should not use the media as their court room. A court room has serious rules to protect both sides. Media should stay out of these allegations. They are not competent to deal with them. They simple cast aspersions without any real proof helping neither side.

The U.S. Catholic Church spent $10.6 million on lobbyists to prevent victims of clerical sex abuse from being able to hold their abuses accountable. Spare me the BS about the comission caring at all when the church still actively harms victims today. "According to a new report, the money was doled out from 2011 through 2018 in eight northeastern states where bills to reform statute of limitations laws were either in the works or being considered." “This report lays out what we have known all along - that the Catholic Church refuses to take responsibility for the decades of abuse that took place knowingly under its watch,” said attorney Stephen Weiss, who works for one of the law firms that commissioned the study.

Nevertheless, even with tongue firmly in cheek, I would say it should be unashamedly paired with a black, pale blue or cream polo neck and a very slimline, stylish - period correct vintage Omega or Patek on the wrist (LONG before they became hideous lumpy things posing as diving equipment) - and its silk lined interior concealing nothing more than a gnarly 9ct gold Dunhill lighter with a wick - and 20 Caffe Creme cigarillos - job done!😂❤

Ironically the Rupnik thing is all about "optics", it seems (since Rupnik is a visual artist): it's about LOOKING compassionate (or "pastoral"), not about being compassionate ... much less about being just. Yet another instance of the emotions trumping reason and justice. Because it is unreasonable and unjust to punish the accused UNTIL they are proven guilty. Has Rupnik been proven guilty? Even when/if he is, I'll NOT sign up for the lynch mob, I'll expect for him to be properly sentenced by those who have the authority to do so. And that does not mean the social media vigilantes.

This was done for the hearsay of "poor use" against the Franciscans. It is my understanding that there where two parts to Francis path, one was personal poverty and the other was "poor use", meaning that if one had a cup it would be a poor cup not a gold one. Many Franciscans caved under the pressure from John the 22nd and those that did not where destroyed in several ways. The truth of this story is hard to find for much of the documentation about St Francis and his life and his order was altered and destroyed by the Church. " en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fraticelli " It is interesting that Pope John the 22nd is also the Pope that destroyed the "Knights Templer" , as I understand it.
