MayMay you are amazing, linking the video with the chart of the sizes of cards and matts. Being really new to all of this, but a very frustrated person when i make mistakes over and over, this will help all of us that are a little mathematically challenged. I love you. When I first started watching card making videos, I remember thinking that matting was a whole lot of bother for no good reason. Welllll, I realized fairly soon how wrong I was.🙄 LOL It makes a WORLD of difference. Thanks for sharing your knowledge with us.

I have made cards for many years but I always seem to have to re-figure the mats as I was too lazy to write them down. Thank you for doing this and blless my printer.

Or you could start with the smallest front piece & glue it to a bigger piece of paper & use the tim holtz (or any grid ruler) to line up and cut out the mat. I do that because everything goes perfectly for me until I go to glue something :( This way I know for sure that it's straight. Sorry if I didn't explain it well. It's very easy really and I found I don't need those perfect layer rulers that everyone seems to love. They're a good idea but not needed. Saves a few bucks for other items.
