Just wanted to point out that the river can’t make a u- turn on its self. Love the vid though.

I think thematically, the princess doesn’t make the knight run, she distracts him from his duties and so he becomes useless.

Thank you for this video! I don’t have Carcassonne and was thinking of buying the big box. I’m not sure if it’s actually worth the extra expense for how much I’ll play it. Some of the included expansions look cumbersome and a bit of a pain, and most of the ones I like the look of aren’t included anyway, so I think that I’ll be getting the base box with the Abbot and the River included then buy a couple of other expansions. I have played the princess and the dragon in the digital version and like it and I’ll pick another 1 or 2.

Thanks. That's why I wanted to give a review of them all so everyone could make the decision for themselves on which expansion they should get.

Another point for Hills & Sheep is that it gets in the way of those that know the game and essentially tile count!!! As tiles come out, if you know the tiles, you can know whether something is still in the pile or an option is still possible or not... the moment you put a face-down tile under the hill that all goes out the window as no one knows what that tile was and so trying to "count" tiles is no longer an option

Good point!

And as someone else said, you can't make a direct U-turn with the River, as that could make impossible situations. You got so many things wrong with the Flying Machines. You CANT land in a Field as a Farmer, and you CAN land on a already claimed road, city, or monastery! You can even have two meeples on the same tile (yours or an opponents) I was looking forward to seeing the rest of the vid, but I think I'll stop here.

I watched this video to memorize all the rules, but according to my rule book, you made a bunch of mistakes
