Bill has a style that is incredibly unique. No one on earth riffs like he does. The slinky riffing definitely gives me a Swansong/Heartwork vibe, kind of like No Love Lost slinky. His tone is to die for. Jeff’s voice has held up well and sounds exceptionally nasty. When the both harmonize vocally it’s a complete eargasm for me…awesome song.

“So Accessible” though? A masterpiece for sure. And of course all things being relative, would only consider Heartwork “accessible” when compared to,….ummmm, maybe Harmony Corruption, ummmm, I don’t know, something even more extreme which is quite difficult to define concretely. They even said that they have never cared whether their work was embraced by the masses or not, and in fact have stated that massive record sales are a sign of a compromised work of art.

I obviously love the sound of Carcass and I'm glad they managed to pull off an album that can stand up to Surgical Steel - that's a huge task and they're able to make it seem easy. But I've been noticing Napalm's output of animated music videos recently. Why does every larger band with a contract at Napalm get one of these videos in the exact same style, obviously from the same artist (or artists)? They seem interchangeable and "one-fits-all"... Is this just to please the algorithm and give us something to look at / glue our eyes to the screen?

@@nickp3949 I didn't hate the DT single but it just sounded very generic and paint by numbers. What you would expect from this era of the band. Nothing about the song sets it apart from anything else they did, or for that matter, sounded as good as their best past works. This new Carcass though sounds really good. You can tell how much they have evolved.

Now you get to see what all of the other extreme metal bands over the last 25 years have been trying to capture. It’s fucking magic. Ever had a band you loved and were absolutely sure they couldn’t top their previous works? Yeah, me too. Surgical Steel blew my mind when I thought Carcass was done years before. Boy was I happily wrong. Very, very wrong. Don’t miss out on the Surplus Steel add-on EP. Livestock Marketplace should be an anthem somewhat like We Will Rock You. But for a different reason. What. A. Hook.
