Caravan Weber Q Slide out on Jayco Starcraft / Journey

Setting up a BBQ is a pain! Might I add, this isn't a sponsored video, I just really like the Weber Q BBQ and to be able to whip it out for a quick cook up makes camping life easy and therefore more enjoyable. I have been asked many times for more information regarding my slide out, so here it is for you.

Would be awesome if Jayco made one of those lockers tall enough to fit a Weber Q of equivalent without having to remove the lid
What if I told you I could make you a slide out that you don't need to remove the lid and still have it slide out ?
I can't believe how much my Weber and slide need a clean after watching this 🙀🙀🙀 so embarrassed! Next job, pressure clean!

What size is the opening of the bootlocker ive got a starcraft on order and I'm wondering if an arb slide out kitchen would fit

I’ve been using exactly the same set up on my van, but I’ve just read on the label on my Weber that it should not be operated within 610mm of the side and back. Just wondering if you’ve checked that out, as I may have to consider removing it from my slide out and putting it on a separate stand. I really don’t want to do that if it can be avoided, as the slide out was quite expensive, but I don’t want to jeopardise my insurance either. Any input is appreciated

@@DASHOffRoad it’s okay. I rang Weber today and the person I spoke to wasn’t even aware of the warning. She checked and assured me that the dimensions related more to a Weber that was enclosed and also that the aluminium exterior of the van wouldn’t be considered combustible. I’ve had to put a Weber flame safeguard on though. In Queensland if your BBQ is connected to the van by bayonet or a slide-out you have to fit one or alternately have the Weber separated from the van and hooked up to another gas bottle. The laws don’t apply to 1st generation Webers, but they do to 2nd and 3rd gen.

Can’t remember exactly. I think the were 30mm self tapping wood screws
