The sugar and thyme look like they are the key ingredients there that most wouldn't think about. Egg sheen sounds good as well and nice experiment there with the whole sheet of pastry! Adding that parsley definitely makes this look straight out of an upscale cafe or restaurant. Exemplary work there and thanks so much for sharing and showing the taste taste opinion.

I made the filling and tomorrow will top toasted crusty country bread slices with the caramelized onions and mushrooms add the gruyere and pop them in the oven to melt the cheese and have appetizers. The filling tastes wonderful.

Yummy but I can't have them right now. I torture myself watching your channel right now. My boys and I have to do the low FODMAP diet and onions (as well as wheat) are out on that diet. In a few months we will try reintroducing them. Hopefully I can add them back into our diet because these look sooooo good.
