    Just got a 2011 MKZ AWD. I see why people think the MKZ looked too much like the Fusion sister, but for me the grill on the front is awesome. Yes the sides are pedestrian and while the taillights are cool with the LED bulbs and longer style the back still is Fusion. Where the MKZ steps up its game is the inside. The leather is crazy good and standard features like heated mirrors, auto dimming mirrors, heated/cooled seats, Sync, Bluetooth audio, and Blis. A course you can get this on the 2011 Ford Fusion but to me the Ford Fusion Sport is tacky with its center stack and its color leather. So is the Fusion worth the $35k base price new? No and neither is the 2014 MKZ, but used these cars become great value plays since they have so much tech in them and because Lincoln has high depreciation. On another note every likes to rag on Lincoln for being just a dressed up Ford but have they ever seen Acura? Yeah the TL is so much better than a HFP Accord, yeah right, or an ILX is better than a Civic Si? No!

    I test drove a 2010 MKZ a few weeks ago. Pretty awesome torque. The power potential is pretty amazing for everyday driving. A great cruising car.

    Time to build a custom Fusion/MKZ hybrid car! Same body style, platform…. So many interchangeable parts… surprised nobody has built up a custom car with the Milan’s, Fusions, and MKZs…. Having these doors ALONE, would look so dope on the Fusion

    Such a great car! I actually do not mind that it shares is dna with the Fusion. Fusions are great cars, but Lincoln puts its luxuries into their cars and they are nice. At lest the Lincoln is more set apart from Ford than say mercury, which look identical to fords. Lincoln’s have a distinct and overall beautiful look.

    I have a 2011 with AWD, and it's a very good car. Not spectacular in any way, but good at almost everything and great for winter driving in the northeast. I bought it because it had low mileage, was priced well under KBB, and was in great shape. If not for all that, there's really no reason not to get a similarly equipped Fusion for a good bit less. It's really the exact same car except for cosmetics.

    @eduardolz31 idk if you've seen the new ones but they are built into the window trim now, not like the old taurus's.

    @dzava I would definitely like that! Car manufacturers are very concerned about the looks of their cars from body style to color. However, they're very stodgy, at least in the US, in interior color offerings. Virtually every car is only available with a gray, beige, or black interior. And even at that, the black interior is typically marred by a gray ceiling liner. Then they mismatch the trim with the interior color. I definitely remember those awesome white caddy interiors! They were awesome!

  • @jumboJetPilot
    @jumboJetPilot13 жыл бұрын

    @dzava Personally, I'd like to see car manufacturers offers wine red, navy blue, fern green, etc. on the interior colors. I think the interiors are what most cars are lacking at these days, particularly with the colors. Beige, gray, and black get really old after a while!

  • @dzava
    @dzava13 жыл бұрын

    @jumboJetPilot Well Europeans still offer some of that... red leather interior or the blue used to be in old Mercedes Benz cars... I dont know whether it still is there but I guess yes. Ive always loved the classic white cadillac interior or beige or what was the colour

    The pricing seems a bit off. You can get a MKZ with premium nav, moon roof, and all the goodies for about $37k ($2k rebate) right now w/o AWD. Honestly, you can do without AWD. 3 series with all that is $10k more than that.

    This car is nice for the money. It rides better than a Fusion, too. We know because we have owned both. Ride is much nicer in the Lincoln. It is not a sports car but I don't want it to be and the seats are actually kind of soft compared to the hard board seats these crazy car makers are coming out with--not comfy on long drives! The THX is the best. Navigation is excellent. Demerits--shame on Lincoln for putting a cheap Honda Accord tilt/tele wheel and stick for hood!

    I think, Lincoln needs to stop playing around and, dump a SCr'd 5.0 in the MKZ so, they can join the battle between, the CTS-V, AMG, BMW's M and, Audi's R! What Lincoln should call they're racing division..., not sure yet...but, I'm prettysure, it will be BADAZZ, for sure! ;-)

    @eduardolz31 I don't think so. It's one of FoMoCo. trademarks. It's also a VERY good thing to have just in case, you lock those keys in there! Trust me..., you will do so, oneday because, I thought, i'd never will...and, to my surprise, I've did it! Lol.. Lucky enough, I kept the unlock code in my wallet. At first, I panic because, I thought, I left the code home and, thought to myself, there goes 100+ dollars for a locksmith! Smh.. It was a GREAT feeling to see that code in my wallet! Lol

    He made the car sound really nice, but I wouldn't pay 40k + for this Lincoln. The back of this car is hideous, the front is not much different, and all of the extra options are pure crap that one can get after market for a fraction of the price. Moreover, for that much money power on this car should be a lil more, or at least turbo charged. I rather get the Ford Fusion, much better styling, less money, and more bang for your buck; but that is just my opinion.

    What a horrible review.... Just horrible.. I have a Lincoln Zephyr, and it rides so smooth even with less horse power than this car. This car is a beautiful upgrade and I will be purchasing the mkz in the future. Don't listen to this guy... The navigation system is just that.. A navigation system. I rather use that than to not have anything at all. This guy needs to stop making good cars sound boring. The mkz will last you years of service if you treat it right. That includes using premium gas (optional) fuel treatments (Lucas fuel treatments for low and high mileage cars upon filling the gas tank every gas station visit) and oil stabilizers (Lucas oil stabilizers for both low and high mileage cars every time you change your oil just replace one quart of oil with Lucas oil stabilizer) to keep your car in great shape even after 200k miles. This guy just made it sound like it's an OK or decent at best car... From the horse power to the navigation system.. But what do I know lol I'm not a tech guy... I don't have a blackberry either lol
