Never climb a slope in snow if you don't have chains , don't put yourself, others and your car on risk .. have some chains in your car or keep it parked somewhere safe and walk

@@AndroidGuru13 Snow tires are expensive and may be banned in some states because spikes in snow tires damages roads. Chains are cheap and you can install/uninstall it.

When I was in Dalhousie. I was sitting in Tavera and in front of me was a white fortuner, that fortuner slided right in front of me, I was like wtf if fortuner slided then what about Tavera. Luckily fortuner regained traction and avoided fatality

Most of the people accelerate more on icy roads whereas you need to do the opposite And make sure you car is loaded, air in tyres is less than normal, use plastic tyre clip(like the ones airport ppl use to lock our luggage) instead of steel chains

Never accelerate or press on brake paddle hardly when its slippery, must have good tyre when going to such places and drive on low gear always.. Tyres must be softer when ridding on snow else reduce the air pressure little bit because friction is higher always due to rigidness of the tires.
