    while i'm not necessarily defending the company, it doesn't look like those trucks are something that's mass produced at the rate of say an F150. if they're indeed more bespoke and hand built, I could see how one could accidentally make it out the door without a refrigerant charge. however, it's still not a good look. at least they're going to cover the fix for the customer.

    I'm almost wondering if maybe it isn't a shipping requirement? Like a hazardous material? Just pondering but I do work on cars for a living I usually just don't do ac repairs. The exception is a compressor/dryer swap and they go to a shop to vacuum charge it but only for a select few customer's. I just am far cheaper being I'm mostly disabled so just charge 20-30 and hour to help with bills a couple times a month but definitely not an ac guy.

    My Passat has the same intentional design flaw. You need to change the whole valve cover if the PCV fails and it costs a small fortune. That can only be intentional from factory to rip you off. Other manufacturers have the PCV separate from the valve cover and the part costs 25 dollars and you can change it yourself in 5 minutes.

    Ofcourse it has no "Freon" it's illegal to use R12 refrigerant..... R134a or 1234yf is what you use now....

  • @buzzard6410
    @buzzard64103 ай бұрын

    Just to let you know, The correct term is refrigerant. All Freon production is now banned in the United States as of January 1, 2020. And it's also illegal to import the product into the country.

    Mismatched coils. Probably old spark plugs. Complaint inbound about how it runs poorly yet the owner won't pay the freight for simple items. With BMW you have to pay to play. There's no cheaping out on these things.
