Hey! Thank you for the video it was helpful I just received my package and had just one question. When you try to place in the wire it is one long wire can I cut it from any spot to make it fit where I would like to place them?

You're welcome Abel! Regarding a wire, I'm assuming you are referring to the fiber optic cable? If so I ran the cable into the inside of the clear plastic holder (after the holder was inserted into it's location) then after filling the holder with the fiber I left extra slack so it can reach the light source (the LED) and then I cut it. Thank you Johnny! ah yes here is the hardwire process kzread.info/dash/bejne/fWadrbqjaJWZZZc.html The LED lights only use 2 wires instead of 3 I show. Basically Ground and Power. And if you are not familiar with the wires on a hardwire kit here is an introductory video kzread.info/dash/bejne/fWadrbqjaJWZZZc.html only watch from 1:49 to 6:50 again only 2 wires are used for the LED lights (Power & Ground) instead of the 3 I showed. Nice...I did the footwell lights ( front and rear) and underbody lights and tied them into alarm system and the interior light. So when you unlock the car both lights come on .. as approach lights. Same if you open the door .. The underbody lights come on. But I used the opt7 led kits

Hey MPC how did you get it to turn on with the car lights. I am trying to get mine to turn on when I start the car instead of using an app. I just want them to come on immediately. Thanks for the suggestion!!

@@JamesOKeefe-US..I think its a function of how the lights work. To do it the way you want, I would hard wire my lights to a fuse that turns on with the ignition. But also for the lights to come on I have to turn them on via the physical remote. But once I turn them on via the remote, the control box remembers that the lights were on so I don't have to touch the remote again. Whenever I start the car the lights come on. I am not sure if your control box has that functionality of remembering the previous state when power is applied.

I haven't done a starlight headliner but it is still on my list of potential videos but yeah I think you are right, once I actually see how much work is involved with them I will be able to tell you better if it makes to install some right now or just wait for the GR (I think it's going to depend on how long you will wait for the GR, if brand new I can imagine the mark ups are going to be silly like the GR86 ugh I usually wait for used to avoid the large loss in value when driving off on a new car)...

Yes you can put the lights anywhere you want, since it's a flexible fiber optic cable it can be routed in any location as long as the installer is willing to do the work of installing it since the install in some places is easier than others. Hi Steven! yes I currently working on that install video, it was actually a very easy install but I did took my time installing it since I didn't want to break anything. Only panels that came off where center console, and left and right side panels. I did disconnect the glovebox so it would hang down giving me access but the wires can technically be run in some many different ways I can see them being installed without touching the glove box. Hi EsJustMe! I think the install cost really comes down to how much detail and how many lights you want to have installed on your car. I seen very quick good looking installs with just one or two strips that can be done in a few hours and I seen extensive installs that taken days with multiple kits installed (the more labor, the more cost there will be). I would also recommend getting a couple of quotes from different places before deciding on one. Hope this helps, Cheers!

Hi gojjjd doooj! I think that is the reason the BMWs and Mercedes that come from factory with this style of lighting usually have them stay in one color (selectable) or cycling but very slowly thru only few colors for a more conservative approach. So you could potentially set this kit to do the same or even decrease the length of the runs or positions if you don't need or want too much mood lighting. Hope this helps, Cheers!
