Car Fire at Target Brick New Jersey 8/14/23
OC - Brick - Car Fire - Target. Around 10:00 PM Brick Township received a call for a possible car fire in the Target Parking lot off Route 70. The caller reported the car was on fire next to the building. Stations 21 & 22 were dispatched to the area. Upon the arrival of the first due Chiefs, they confirmed the working car fire in the parking lot with no exposures. The car had a fire in the engine compartment that was spreading to the rest of the car. 2210 used his water can to make a knock on the main body of fire. Shortly after an engine from Brenton Woods Station 21 arrived on scene and stretched a 1.3/4 line to the car and put out the rest of the fire. The cause of the fire is unknown.

I respect a Chief who is not afraid to gear up and get his hands dirty .

at least he used his SCBA, lol
Great job by the Chief while waiting for the engine truck and great team work
Only real critique would be the apparatus placement being down wind. This is also not knowing if there was room for the rig in the area of where the filming was happening. End of the day it’s a car fire and an automatic total loss in the eyes of the insurance company.
Pretty impressive with the can. Is it just pressurized water, or do they put CO2 or some other agent mixed in? Gasoline-fed vehicle fires can be a pain to get under control if the tank ruptures. JJ filmed one in NYC a few weeks ago and they went through a lot of buckets of foam agent before they could knock it down.
The man with a can and a plan, nice.
Cause of the fire is always interesting to me because it can happen to anyone. And that's hope we gather knowledge and learn, to avoid it happening to YOU
A Nissan on fire? It's strange that it's not an Altima.
I realize this individual lost his ride, but I have to be honest and say I LOVED listening to the Katie-Dids in the background…. 🤷🏻♀️
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ ... waiting for "Heavy fy-er" from Captain obvious...
Short but sweet!!
5:26 SCBA strap hanging loose so it can get caught on something. SCBA tank but no face mask on. No officer sees this ?????
🌊🔥🌊
That is a lovely SCBA he has on there at 5:40. Too bad he didnt, what's the word....USE IT
Nice try with the water can . That is sad I've been looking for one that model to build a offroad rig . So sad .

Are you sad poopsie?
Hi Sir
What stumps me is how ridiculously SLOW the fire departments are to go into action!!!

What is the rush in this case?
Wow wut jeep fire
Great video. Wonderful job by everyone. Thanks...🤗🤗
oh God ita only a friggin car fire. LOL no need for the can, no need for more than one engine with a booster line. I just shake my head with this younger generation of Firefighters.
Far too long to start following water. Just pull a reel and get on with it…
I would be afraid it would explode and not get as close as the firemen did. It is great that there are men and women who will do this type of service work.

The vehicle will not explode in the event of fire. The fuel tank is specifically designed not to explode. It may leak feeding the fire but it won’t blow up. Tires, airbags and some other components may pop loudly throwing small pieces of debris so it is important to stand at an angle to the vehicle upwind of the nasty toxic smoke unless wearing the proper equipment
Did you see the lithium batter smoke? With against black. Dut the white did not bend to become grey. Electric cars safe? Really?

That's an ICE car, not an EV. Looks like either a Ford Explorer, or a Nissan Xterra, or maybe a Jeep. ICE cars don't have lithium batteries, you dumbass. If you paid any attention, it said the fire was in the engine compartment. Electric cars don't have an engine.
Not a "Car Fire"....... actually a rather boring aftermath of a car fire. You've done better than this. This was just a time waster.

@@jerseyshorefireresponse I obviously did miss the first part of the video. I just went back and clicked on it again and watched the entire video..... my first time around only showed the last minute and a half after the fire was out. Sorry bout that.

Yet you are here and wasted even more time scolding the Channel.
Those '00 to '04 Nissan Xterras were good trucks. This one was at least 19 years old. Such a shame to see it get destroyed after 20 years of service.
