Regarding what killed you in the Yoshi tongue glitch level: You actually got crushed by the POW Block in Yoshi's mouth. The way that glitch works is that the item that Yoshi tongues fails to lose its properties of being a solid item, so it pushes you. It gets even more ridiculous if you tongue a sideways spring.

54:30 This is because the boomerangs pierce. Adding a cooldown to piercing weapons is a normal practice. If there was no cooldown, the boomerang would deal its damage every frame, since it the hitboxes are still overlapping and the boomerang doesn't disappear after the first hit. The fireball breaks every hit so it does not need a cooldown. If you tracked the cooldown separately for each boomerang projectile it would create a lot of unnecessary lag, so the cooldown is global for every boomerang projectile.

the piercing modifier in Noita works that way, with every frame dealing damage. It allows for insane damage output, but the piercing modifier also makes the spells it is attached to affect the player. Combine that every frame activation with an explosive projectile, and the game usually goes from frames per second to seconds per frame.

@@xerveeon Now I find myself wondering if Carl has played Noita, and if not how we get him to. I think the bullshit you can do in that game would destroy his sense of time with all the experimentation he'd want to do...I speak from experience and I've hardly scratched the surface.

@@SpencerTwiddy Disagree, because you can throw them through an enemy and you'll want it to hit them again on the way back. That's the whole appeal of boomerangs in Nintendo games usually. It's a lot easier (and likely MUCH less laggy) for them just to use a global cooldown than to give every boomerang 2 hits.

Idk, i just saw yoshi on yoshi violence. Carl was just a spectator and was unable to stop it from happening

The second level is cool and you can always proceed everywhere. But when you've got the checkpoint and saved the coins, the beeps in previous rooms are useless and it can make confusion if you don't know that you've collected it.

I don't think you can. Each checkpoint was setup to prevent your ability to go back too far. That the beeping never stops is still a valid complaint.

a "car no go space" level that required you to get a car to the exit and warped you straight up any time you failed platforming would be a great thematic level

Starting off a switch back to night shifts with Carl...... if nothing else at least my day started off good.

Oh my gosh I remember the 3D house maze level! That one was really cool!

I remember the joke from the one troll level collab a few years ago, that's one of my favorite Mario Maker 2 related memories

to explain the claw lick since it was glossed over, basically the game doesn't unload the Pow block's collision despite still trying to fit it into Yoshi's mouth, thus causing it to continuously push you backwards. This is also why you die when you hit a wall, it's the Pow block crushing you against the wall.

Clear pipes with on and off switches. If you want to make a popular level, 20 second speedrun with on/off switches and sideways springs.

The 2 beeps sound very similar to the flowers in the first room (and a later room or 2) Forever Forest from Paper Mario (N64). Wonder if it was intentional or just a coincidence.

The basic concept (which I should note is clearly incomplete, and just in general ADHD seems to be a large spectrum with a lot of differences, so please keep that in mind) is as follows: much of the issues with ADHD are thought to result from a lack of stimulation when doing activities that "neurotypical" people might not have any issue getting stimulation from. Because of this, it makes it harder to focus on and be interested in these activities. The neurotransmitter dopamine plays a central role in this in the brain (though so do other components and I would caution anyone from thinking the brain is so simple...) but nonetheless, the long and short of it is that stimulant medications for ADHD provide this stimulation that is missing, in part by upregulating certain neurotransmitters like dopamine. The end result is that this medication allows people with ADHD to focus better on (and, in general, enjoy) certain tasks that otherwise would be unstimulating. I know plenty of people that feel like ADHD drugs changed their life in a massively positive way. I also know other people who did not like them at all. In the future, we need better ways to predict which drugs will work for which people (a field called personalized medicine or precision medicine).

@@CarlSagan42 I have been on and of of medikinet for a year now, and I can say it helps me to stay motivated on certain hobbys and not loosing interest as fast as I normally would. What I dont enjoy and these parts are the main reason I dont take them anymore, that are the side effects, wich lead to shakyness, heart racing, and the biggest problem, appetite loss. I just hope that some day there are other types of adhd medications wich dont have these strong side effects, because It has been really hard to live with them the past year. Is there any chance that scientists try on making an improved version? (I know that there are many different types of adhd drugs, But I have been told that at least the appetite loss Is a problem the majority of people have to endure) Thank you for your insight :)
