Is there any difference between the symptoms of a failing fuel pump and air filter?

I had noticed my car lights flickering and even on the dashboard for a few weeks. I bought an engine air filter and changed it myself then noticed the flickering had gone so I’m sure it was because the older filter was restricting airflow to the engine since it was very dirty. I did learn something here. Thank you!

this happened to me! Mechanic didn't put clamp back on intake hose....smh...when it got hot the hose expanded and limp mode! took me a year then a buddy said...hey there's no clamp on that hose...Bam! that fixed it. After 2 mechanics it was a clamp!

Differently felt all the symptoms, started the car it didn't wanted to start i accelerated it started and was shaking reduced horse power no pulling. Changed the air filter cleaner and boom it runs snooth

I have a new place to hide my snacks now 🤣

Hi, I have noticed a loss of power in lower gears. I measured the air flow rate and its 1.5-1.6 g/s at idle. Is it normale for a 2.2 diesel engine? Any suggestiins what could have gone wrong? Cheers

Had a filter with the screen and think it was restricted my air flow . I was having rpm surge. After changing part after part I looked back at filter and changed it again with factory filter . Surge went away. Think even with screen it was cutting air back or swirling it to cause the problem?

I have a Honda ballade luxline S04 1998 150i,since i changed the complete throttle body,while driving the car has a split second to wanting to cut off,if I pull out the map sensor plug then it's ok,no engine light stays on only when you pull it out engine light goes on once you switch off and Start again then engine light is off,what should I do

I change my spark plugs , and when I get ready to cran my car it’s tries to run then it shuts off like it puff puff puff then cuts off when I press the gas it’s stays running but when I take it off is stall puff puff puff then cuts offf don’t idle at all it do sometimes but with with very low power I took it to a mechanic they say it’s the EGR valve , and intake manifold but I’m thinking that wouldn’t cause your car to keep shutting off right ? , I got a 2002 Ford Focus the fuel pump turns on but I think it’s bad I need help

I’m hearing a puff sound when I shut off the engine after I disconnected the hose clamp and unplugged it the air sensor. I this happened when I had get access to the passenger low beam light bulb.

I am having problems with my 2006 Nissan Murano, Code P2122, P2138 and P0643, Changed Pedal, Changed Trottle body and still car won't accelerate. Once TPS or Pedal changed car drives for a while like 1km and it goes to limp mode with Slip light and VDC displaying a check engine light, when I disconnect the pedal cable the car get high acceleration can drive . But it's slow. please any suggestions for possible solutions?

I have the same situation when I am stopped on a traffic light the car start to jump and the RPM starts fluctuating up and down, changed the gasoline pump and the gas filter but still feel like a misfire a piston what could be and you have any place for repair here in NJ

Can’t figure mine out…. Replaced my throttle body, battery, spark plugs, air filter, cabin filter, oil change, coolant change ect. It’s now in LIMP MODE and have researched a ton and tried everything and nothing is working. When I got my new throttle body… I picked it out of the box and had a rattle in it… I don’t know if it’s supposed to sound like that but had no choice but to put it on. I’ve watched videos and tips and tricks and nothing.

This only happens when I turn my headlights on but when it’s off it drives completely fine. Any idea what the problem may be? Just need a point in the right direction. Anything helps thanks!

What can be the problem when your vehicle starts and run and when you change gears and yeah I don't back you go and it starts to style

My clamps won’t seal the intake to the throttle body and my car won’t start, do I need to buy new clamps and silicone?

My 2006 Subaru Legacy Outback 2.5 does this. It's at 124,523 miles on it and I'm thinking it's the Timing belt that's due? It blinks the cruise light and a steady check engine light. So is it a bad egr?

Other than all the silly "ClownCrap" good video. Watched due to limp mode as I bought a VERY CHEAP priced honda 2007 minivan & noticed TONS of bulky plastic b.s. below airtake box when changing battery & removed to clean visual of area as easy. But test drive QUICKLY tripped E. ck light! I'm guessing air straight into filter box like the old days does NOT compute! LOL

Essentially.....

So I have an 01 Lexus is300 252k miles and recently it died out on me while driving. Then crank no start code p0715 came on “intake/turbin tranny speed sensor” and I replaced it yet still crank no start. I haven’t changed my spark plugs in about a year. New throttle body, new fuel pump, relative new alternator (4yrs old), new cam gear and timing belt, it was on full tank. I did notice the air intake wasn’t full on the throttle body half was attached and half seemed to be sucked in a bit. Battery is kinda going but I have a jump box. Anyone have any ideas?

Damn. Makes me wonder about the 2 Cadillac Fleetwoods i sold with a loss of acceleration issue. Same thing happened to them both. They were fine the night before then i go to start them and it was like there was little to no acceleration and i was flooring it. Sounded like i was doin 80mph but going 5mph. Im more mechanically inclined now but i wish i knew for sure what was going on with them. After seeing this video i never knew it could be something so simple. Anyway thanks for the video 👍

This video was on my recommended and all the symptoms you said matched and when I checked my car, my intake tube looks like it was cut. At first I thought I needed to replace my spark plugs and never thought to check my air filter let alone the tube.

Replaced cheap ebay throttle body as error code as here. It was missing slow not shift correctly after reply error code not reset. But after 9 start stops all good used oem part from old chevy v6
