Car Camping in Cades Cove (Great Smoky Mountains)
A few weeks ago, I did an overnight car camping trip with some girlfriends of mine at the Cades Cove Campground in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. It was a fun night with friends.

I will have to come back to the GSMNP with my wife and car after I do my thruhike next year. I finished the AT in sections in October, and it just got me fired up to start a thruhike. My wife doesn't hike any more, but she likes camping and sightseeing. I turn 70 next July. I figured that a thruhike would be a great way to celebrate. Maybe 70 is the new 50! 😊

Glad I wasn’t camping close…that would have been a nightmare.
Do they have a place to take a shower here?
Can you stay in a van? We have enough room. to sleep with all of us. 2 dogs, rat, 15 year old daughter and hubby and 😆 LOL
