Who would have guessed that in 2023, after we all blocked or paid to get rid of ads, we'd be back watching them for nostalgia?? So many of these ads I remember from my childhood, such strong Déjà vu and nostalgia. I've digitized a few VHS so I know it's a pain, thanks for making this

Even as a kid I realised how cars were styled after aircraft. From the fins of the '50s to the stark lines of the '80s. It's a shame SUV's are everywhere now. From blocking my vision when pulling out of a car-park to having overpowered headlights placed at head height. SUV's make every aspect of driving worse.

I remember a tv ad around 83 when I was around 8 , a car going over a cliff and smashing, and a cockotoo squarking at the same time .It's been haunting me for years as I can't think of what it was about .

Can't say I remember that one, could have been a drink drive ad? I used to love the Marshall battery ad. The one where they brake down on the train tracks, and the train is coming, then the dude is like "MARSHALL", he rocks up in his van, fits the battery and they just get off the tracks in time.

I knew it was going to hurt that much, and I still watched it. To be fair, as a kid I had to get in and out of the back seat of the two door Holden Jackaroo LS. Doors are expensive, apparently? Unless it's a sports car, in which case they charge you more for two less doors. Also, to be fair again, it was a well constructed and capable 4WD vehicle. Basic, but that's everything by modern Ute standards.

0:30 - My grandparents bought one of these in beige to replace their 1968 Falcon (which they kept, anyway.) One day, they were rear ended at 60 km/h...both seat squabs _snapped off at the base,_ leaving them staring at the ceiling! The car was a write off...good thing they still had a car to drive at home.

Awesome Memories Just under $30k for that Holden Acclaim damn ! That’s a lot of money for that time. No wonder they struggled to sell when comparing to Toyota, Kia, Hyundai and Mitsubishi of its time They were better value and more affordable 😊

OMG, the prices of those cars back in the 1980s and 1990s! $27K+orc for a bland 4cyl Camry. Fondly remember the Gallant VR4, from a time when Japan was young and innovative. Less so the VR Acclaim, a complete and utter piece of junk with little Japanese-level build quality.
