    You have done a beautiful job producing this video. It’s the most informative, well organized video I have seen on this software. The only thing I would add are closeups of the menus. Even when I push to full frame, the menus are so small, I can’t see exactly what they include as you make your selections. But this is just great. And I appreciate the reshoot for perfect hair.

    I had no idea that Capture One was so customisable. The hardest part about switching to Capture One for me is combating the muscle memory I built for a lightroom workflow but now that I know I can customise everything to a point where It makes sense.

You gave me a really good start with all your settings which I implemented. Now I'm looking for the 5 min. videos you mentioned and hopefully more beginner videos for both using Capture 1 and using Fujifilm cameras. Can you point out (or attach a link) where to find them? Capture One for two days now. The demo. It saves. For now, with 20 years of Photoshop behind me, I want to use Capture One to import my Fuji raw files, and then output them as the highest rez tiffs to work them in Photoshop. At the moment, I'm not aware of Capture having Fuji simulation presets to apply like Lightroom, which does appeal to me. But importing and exporting Fuji raw has had issues about artifacts being introduced, and settings can be modified by not adding sharpness, etc., during import. So, I don't see anyone talking about import settings with Capture, or export settings beyond just choosing the type of export.. Am I missing something?

  • @GajanBalan

    @GajanBalan

    2 жыл бұрын

    I don’t think I quite follow all the questions here, you can apply film simulation curves under Base Characteristics tool. You can right click an image to Edit In Photoshop and it will create the hi-res TIFF to keep things contained in Capture One as much as possible. I would review your export settings as well. Good luck!

  • @bradwjensen

    Soooo you can't just open files from their original storage folder location without copying those physical image files to a new folder when importing? When you save these imported files with edits does it not override the original files imported; but instead saves to the copy? Basically I will need twice the storage space to use this application to edit my photos, then copy the photos back to the original storage location once edits are saved to RAW files in the copied folder..?

  • @GajanBalan

    @GajanBalan

    3 жыл бұрын

    No Brad, this is only if you use Sessions. If you would rather keep all your images in one place and just reference them you can create a Catalog (like a Lightroom library). I made a 5 min video specifically on this if you’re interested. Hope this helps!

    I really got a lot out of this video. I am new to Capture One so it really helped. I was unable to move the pictures after tagging them, Gajan tagged pictures red, then moved them to the viewer, then to the selects folder. I could not figure out how to do this. I was able to tag pictures but was not able to have all the tagged pictures show up in the viewer so I had to drag each one from the right side of the screen to the capture folder so I missed how to do this in the way that Gajan did it, any suggestions? Thanks
