    This is the best video I have yet seen on using each individual adjustment, and so well explained. Many other videos just give quickies on a few without showing why. I use Adobe, but considering changing for a year, never pulled the trigger because of C1's complexity. Now I see how to use it. Many Thanks!

    Thank you Emily for this really helpful video. I needed to cover these areas and I think the amount of information was just right. A couple of questions if I may. 1. Would you normally also go into the ‘lens corrections’ tab as part of editing, and 2. Are all those ‘colour’ adjustment areas within the ‘Colour’ tab and in the ‘adjustments’ tab, crossing over a bit with each other? Is it a case of do your colour adjustments in just say the ‘colour’ tab, or would you normally use all the ‘colour’ adjusting elements? Many thanks.

    Thanks Emily. Having 300,000 photos in Lightroom collections, I’ve been a little reluctant to changing my catalog software. I recently purchased Capture One because Adobe and Nikon Z9 can’t seem to get their s#*T together with tethered capture. It’ll be interesting to see how much I want to use this new software.

    Thank you so much for all the straight forward quality videos you have made available. Do you think new photographers should learn Lightroom and photoshop before switching to capture one?

  • @EmilyTeague

    @EmilyTeague

    3 жыл бұрын

    Thanks Matthew! So whether you start with Lightroom or Capture One, I think every photographer should also know how to work in Photoshop. I would say for anyone starting out- the pro of learning Lightroom first is it's cheaper. The pro for learning Capture One first is it's more advanced and you won't have to learn to switch over to it later when you've already become accustomed to Lightroom. Both are fantastic though. I'm biased in that I prefer Capture One, but you can't really go wrong in starting with either one.
