The way the stories were written for civil war 2 and following directly wanted to paint her as the one in the right. Even though she got tons of people killed, wanted to Incarcerate PoC for looking too suspicious cause some inhuman that can see futures for possible timelines that have no connection to the current universe said that it might happen. Just long stretch of dumb decisions

Iron man literally proved multiple times that the vision was not set in stone, and were just predictions, possibilities at most. And captain marvel has the balls to not only murder iron man, but say it was not her fault? She let heroes die. And hopefully she gets what is coming to her

I always thought that Captain Marvel and Ms.Marvel are two very different Carol Danvers where the Ms. Marvel persona is the humble Carol while the Captain Marvel persona is a corrupted persona, who which got overwhelmed mentally with power to the point that she lost a good chunk of morality in favor of being stronger. It's ironic really, going for a more fully clothed look would make the character less likable as opposed to keeping the original black suited design that was from Ms.Marvel that everyone adored.

Civil war 2 event makes the Civil War 1 look like freakin' masterpiece. Edit: in case anyone asks why, civil war 1 had real stakes while civil war 2 was a battle between egos Civil war 1 was more tense, darker and writers were smart enough to keep the fight grounded between tony and steve (and the heroes who supported them) and didn't include powerhouses like hulk, thor and most importantly *DR STRANGE* Ending was emotional. Steve looks at the destroyed city ,his tears rolling down and surrendering himself to the police even tho he won and proved tony wrong. Civil war 2 had nothing emotional on that level

My least favorite part was the birth of "HULK" She-Hulk. That was almost as bad as the Mockingbird series. Mostly because of the Phantom Rider stuff. That was already a can of worms and then they made it questionably worse.

Carol isn't a feminist if she lets other women suffer and die. Look at how in the comic, she tortures a woman and let's she hulk die. She's just horribly written, and it's just Marvel's attempt at making a feminist superhero. DC did it better with wonder woman. Honestly, Spiderman and X-Men are the decent heroes in Marvel but the other can be mid or questionable. Not all but heroes such as iron man and captain marvel are very questionable. @Ray there’s multiple reasons why I dislike this character. 1. Her actions in this very comic. 2. Her being insanely powerful on top of being kind of a prick. (Comic Version) 3. The story going out of their way to cutting her some slack despite her TERRIBLE decisions. 4. Her actress in the MCU whose also played by a real life prick. 5. The MCU version of the character also being a prick!! Like you can’t have both the comic and MCU versions being unlikable There’s a reason why other female characters are just better received that this character for example Wonder Woman. Also if you’re insanely powerful and you’re a prick, with no good reason to be a prick, (a good writing prick I can think of is Homelander), then ppl are just not gonna like the character. There’s a reason Superman is LOVED, cause he’s a pretty chill dude who has all that power and chooses to be the best of us, and why the evil Superman trope is getting played out.

@Ray I’m convinced you don’t know much about Carol Danvers at all. She’s 1. Let puppet master blow himself up instead of saving him like a HERO would, and even lied to her teammates about it. 2. Blamed ALL the mutants for the actions of Magneto 3. When she was the leader of S.H.I.E.L.D in general she made AWFUL (and prick) decisions!!!!! 4. The MCU is definitely a good reason to not like a character because that’s the mainstream media, Iron Man literally would not be where he is today if it wasn’t for the MCU, the MCU nowadays could really make lesser known characters glow up so if BOTH comic and MCU versions aren’t likable then why would anyone get invested in the character!!

I love these comic book recaps and I think your comedy is really funny

Original Civil War: Tries to make a morally grey storyline about how to approach superhero identities and responsibility. Failed due to poor editorial choices, a weak story and one side acting like fascists. Civil War 2: A story about a side saying that pre-emptive murder and arrest are okay because there's a chance of something bad vs a side saying "what the fuck, no, that's insane". Y'know, the original at least tried but was poorly handled. This shit is just dumb.

Tony's currently back and getting fisted by Hulk-Thor in the outer reaches of space, so it's not like his death is 'that' big a deal~ Jokes aside, I'm just curious on why Miles would even kill Cap given out of all the possibilities tied to the event. Also Carol Danvers 616 was usually a decent character til this particular arc; not sure why they went that direction with her, especially with her side of the argument having more faults. Figure that she'd be the "Captain America" of this Civil War event, but I guess they needed to show that Tony learned since the first CW or whatever

@@RrowdyBeast in the Civil War 2 story they show Hydra Cap behind the scenes instigating the events in the story, so it’s implied that Miles kills him due to Captain America being part of Hydra BUT since both Miles and Cap were informed that Miles was gonna kill him, it led to Cap not making any more moves that would cause suspicion which in turn made him look innocent. (One of the only good elements of this horrendous story)

Man is literally taking a sh*t while explaining how more worse Captain Marvel's can get. Respect +++

@Ray The thing about argument with these type of characters, is that the character unreasonable in many ways. One can warp reality itself, but can die to a bullet. The other is basically mini superman. The Winner is whoever you can cause it's bs. If you put them in a very controlled 1v1, fight on 3 circumstance, it's whoever can get their bs off first. Otherwise, it's just whatever bs the author wants...or an assassination.

Imagine getting multiple Avengers killed and arresting and accusing innocent people. Then getting promoted to the leader of all superheroes

@@Maxion_2000 the visions had a probability to them. With Tony's help they could have been able to stop attacks before it happened. Also Miles was going to kill Hydra Cap. It's just hydra cap changed it with a cosmic cube

If Miles was at the fight, was Peter just doing his own thing

Is Ammit from the Disney + Moon Knight adaptation a Karen? Ammit and Cap. Marvel have the exact same motivations. Preventing future disasters at the cost of a few innocent lives.

forgot the part that Ulyssus was taken by the watcher because it was not just the future he was seeing but the countless timelines in the multiverse in which things happened differently.

So Carol Danvers causes so much harm for arresting people for things that haven’t even happened, and even after miles proves him killing cap wasn’t set in stone, she still try’s to arrest miles!. And especially after murdering Tony, she’s made the leader of superheroes by the Government and everyone’s just fine with this?!. I haven’t gotten caught up in the comics that much lately, but there has to be serious karma coming for Captain marvel right?.

my problem with Captain Marvel is just how uncreative and boring she is to watch fight. Everyone else is so much more entertaining because they are creative with how they fight and use their powers, and you can feel tension. But they shove her down our throats like shes a god, so no one ever cares about the stakes cause there aren't any when it comes to her. Like one of the smartest people literally made a suit to stop her, and she just punches her way through it? Boring af

I really hated the speech about why iron man wanted to stop CM That tony didn't want to risk carols successor having that power wuthout them being as righteous and as good as her. I really hate stuff like that cause it detracts from what the conflict is about and makes it about something else not as imprtant as said conflict

She legit forcefully arrests people for events that haven''t transpired then immediately suffers no consequences for her own actions.

She hulk didn't die and neither did Iron Man they were just in a coma

If I'm being completely honest, even though I don't agree Carol's actions or her viewpoint and the oversimplification of Ulyasse's abilities of predetermination, I honestly think Tony unintentionally enabled Carol to fight him, as Tony's entire warped perception of what predetermination truly implies abd acts self righteously without any sense of reason and humility. Again while I do not agree with Carol, I still think Tony was more responsible for creating yet another conflict within the superhero community as a self proclaimed futurist, who resorts to petty actions in order to uphold said mindset when all of this could've been easily resolved. I don't know that is just my opinion on this convoluted event comic.

I dont see how Tony is more responsible here.The only thing Tony has be doing in this comic was trying to stop Carol from conflict *she* is creating because of her misuse of Ulysses powers. Of which were only getting the people around them killed
