I’m with ya Stephanie! The Bible says spare the rod, spoil the child. And in todays world, sadly, like you said, & seen, little kids throwing tantrums in the public, & there is no consequences, no Repercussions, no discipline, the kids have the control & they “ know it”! Now, they grow up, feeling “ entitled”, to everything! I’m so thankful my parents loved me & cared enough about me to correct me , even if it meant a spanking, to get my behavior, my wrongs, my attitude “ in check”! Our Heavenly Father gives us a “ spiritual whipping”, when needed to get us back in line with him! Why? Because HE LOVES US! You are a positive & true example of what a parent is Stephanie, & I commend you for standing on the word of God! That’s why you have good kids, & they learned “ respect”. I’ve said it a few times in past videos, of comments, you’re Mother & Mamaw would be so proud of you not just following in “ their” footsteps, but following the Lord Jesus Christ & “ his” words! From my experience don’t eat hard foods on your crowns and bridges they can crack and after awhile the cement does deteriorate and you can get loose bridges and crowns and even fall off they aren’t strong as natural teeth I’m just letting you know what’s happened to me hopefully you won’t have any problems 😊

Thank you for the Long John Silvers update. I am in Powell and we go up to Oak Ridge often. Long John’s is my favorite. I am with you on growing up poor with my single mama. She would stretch meals. Most of the time it was meatless dinners but we were feed. My husband and I have good jobs thanks to the Lords blessings but I still shop smart and thrifty and I want to teach my son how to work hard to have things in life. All we want as parents is for our children to have better than what we had. God bless you! ❤

Oh yes, the batter bowl! We used to love cleaning out the bowl - had to take turns lol. Parenting today with a lot of families (not all, thankfully) is mostly a joke. Kids talk back to their parents and others when they're barely able to start talking and everyone thinks it's cute - not! No respect taught - I really feel sorry for teachers these days. If we got in trouble at school, we knew it would be far worse at home, so no, I don't ever remember getting in trouble - raised our 3 the same way and were happier than the ones I see now all the time getting their way! Off my soapbox now - Lol

Yes, in my day, my parents had PRIDE in themselves and their community. When I stepped out of the house , I was representing them and dare not show out. They didn’t mind tearing me up and no one said a word. Those days are long gone. Time out , what?

That seems harsh Maybe he or she is hungry , tired Saying this because I only have one but he never threw himself in the floor in public or at home really Not perfect no but sometimes these kids home life is awful -toxic Plus I don’t think humiliation is the way to go But of course every situation is different , kids etc I just don’t like the idea of assuming the child needs to be “popped “ or “spanked” I was spanked as a child but I don’t agree with (just my opinion) and didn’t discipline my kid that way I did tune out la, etc maybe consequences of not getting something that you want or privileges something like that but I just never got physical with my kids I really don’t agree with it Just throwing this out there because sometimes I see so called “bad behavior” from kids in stores and then see there parents and literally it’s no wonder These parents look like act like trash Just thoughts
