Another great place is Crab Catchers on the ICW. Super friendly, great food, great views, right on the water.

The portion size was definitely better than in your previous video. Everything looked good. You got an adequate amount of fries 🍟 to fill your stomach up.

Glad you were able to get some of Shawnasi's flounder to try,lol! Much better portion than you had at Snookys, which wouldn't have filled a hollow tooth ! Gkad this experience was better than Snookys!

Everything looked great, enjoy your video's, remembered the video from the VA. fun seekers, your both nice people and wish you continued success with your channel

so cool you got to try this place and review it, super awesome place, but it does get busy in the evening. great food and atmosphere, and the owner is down to earth great guy. we so agree with you about the service charges, we too have tried to start using cash, and the wait staff get there tips right away with a card it could take days. great your back in NMB

Yes, I think we are going to go back to the practice of carrying more cash on us. We used to almost exclusively carry cash, but it got to where we were afraid we would misplace it. So, we started using cards most of the time, because of the rewards points you can accumulate. But with these service charges starting up pretty much everywhere, I think we're going back to using cash more. At least when we dine out.

@@NCMemoryMakers yep, agree with you 100%, same with us, there even doing it at home here stating a discount when paying with cash out to eat. i guess everyone likes something different and this younger crowd doesn't care, but we sure do, lol

I had the flounder when I ate there, I thought it was good and like that they removed the skin as some places don’t do that. The building used to be a marina before it was a restaurant.

Thank you for the information. We didn't realize it was a marina. But that would make sense. There are still a lot of boats right there behind it. And yes, we thought the flounder was very good. I will get seafood of some sort when I go back next time.

My Brother lives by to Captain Archie’s and frequents often. I have only been once; but satisfied with what I had.

Blue Drum is another great place in LR on the ICW, maybe 3/4 mile up the ICW from Capt Archies.

We will be back at Garden City end of October… there’s a great place down the road in Surfside beach called Bubba’s Fish Shack. We ate at Bubba’s two days in a row when we were down last October. Enjoy your weekend..

Yes, it was much cooler last week. It is perfect this week. 70s during the day, and 60s at night.

We've noticed that the portions have been shrinking as the prices have been rising...just the nature of the beast these days. Nice to hear that the portions were good here.

Yes, no complaints here. My portion size was very small the night before, but this was much better.

We have never tried this restaurant, after your order arrived I thought well thats not a childs plate. Lol.. I do have a question or two, did you go to Snooky's for dinner or lunch? Did your meal at Captain Archie's have two separate prices for lunch vs dinner? The flounder looked delicious and so did the fries😊 love the dining atmosphere of where you were sitting to have lunch! Love to be on the water whether it's by a creek in the mountains, the ocean, intercoastal waterway, etc😊 have a wonderful weekend😊

Thank you for watching and for commenting. I think Captain Archie's has the same menu for lunch and supper. I did not see separate menus. We went to Snooky's for supper. We didn't get into town until about 6:30 p.m., and it was probably 7:30-7:45 when we got out there.

Dude love your reviews. I putting a list together from them for a planned trip. Please figure out how to hold a menu still to video it in focus. Just a suggestion.

Have you ever tried to do this? I could keep the menu still, by leaving it on the table and not holding it at all. But do you know the issue I normally have then? Glare from the lights overhead. So, I avoid the glare by holding it. You will notice other videos where I am not holding it, if there is a way to bypass the glare. Sometimes I can't. You can always pause the TV to keep it still. I do the best that I can to hold it still. Given that this particular video was outside, I do not remember why I had to hold it. But I wouldn't have done so without a reason. Perhaps the sun was hitting it, or just a glare from the brightness of the day. Glad you enjoy the reviews, and thanks for watching.

Yes, she does a little. She's done a few introductions, but generally prefers for me to do it. She doesn't really have a problem talking about her meal and things like that, but when she's giving information about the restaurant, she's kind of afraid of not getting it right or forgetting what to say.. I would actually like for her to do it more often.

Sorry you got a burger with all the seafood on the coast. I wish more places would do fresh cut fries. Not sure I would try this restaurant. Burger did not look good, they could have toasted the bun.

Didn't know I was required to eat seafood every single day Everything there was fine. That's why we gave it a good review. I got a burger because I wanted to try one of their burgers, and I eat seafood almost every day down here, and once in a while I'd like a break from it. I'm sure if I had wanted a toasted bun, they would have done it. I did not ask for a toasted bun. She did not ask for a toasted bun at the barbecue place last weekend, either.

I’m with you about the stupid music. I’m wondering if it’s a federal law to have blaring music and tvs everywhere we go. But to be expected in the world. Enjoy your videos, the Lord bless you.
