LOL. You got the 1/2 bone in flounder on the video I watched yesterday. Thanks for sharing your videos. We are looking forward to trying some new places on this trip. We usually go to Goodfellas Seafood Hut and always enjoy eating there. My husband likes clam strips and there are only a few places that have them. He doesn't really eat much fish or shrimp. Yes, I got the bone in flounder on our first visit. Never again. It was difficult to eat, but still very flavorful. The last 2 trips there, were the flounder filet. Much better. We would love to know where you eat, and how your experience is. This place has a lot of options for whatever someone likes, even non-seafood items. Enjoy your trip and thank you for watching!

My wife and family been going to Goodfellas sea food hut since it open. We go during the lunch special. Great food and the people that work there are the best.

Eaten at Hoskins many times since I was a kid. Their prices have always been on the high end.

We personally found their Sunday lunch specials to be one of the best deals in town. As far as any other time, their prices are about what you would pay for seafood in most places. Platt's is probably the most food for the money, in that area. But I love Hoskin's flounder as much as any I've ever had.

My husband and i went on a Wednesday, got there at 4 pm, a line was started. The food was fabulous. Thank you for your recommendation and review. We enjoyed our meal. I got the fish and scallop, my husband got the fish platter.

So glad that you all tried this place and enjoyed it. Glad your experience was good. I think their flounder is among the best. I have not tried their fried chicken, but I've been told that it's very good.

We have rented a nice condo for the entire month of October in NMB since 2015. We go to Hoskins several times throughout the month. Love their food! We will be back in 3 months and I’m greatly looking forward to it. Can’t wait to get some of that delicious Hoskins food.

Thank you for watching! Unfortunately, the weather is terrible, and is keeping us from doing much at the beach. Hopefully, we can get some fishing in.

We were there last Friday and it was great and loved the scallops and shrimp and hubby got whole flounder, we will go back next time there.

Never been here before, but it’s on our bucket list. We were in N Myrtle Beach recently, and joined friends for breakfast at Hot Stacks. One of the best breakfast places I’ve been to in years. We will be going back here again next year. Thanks so much for the review.

Yes, we did too. We were just out there looking at the damage, and we ate at Beck's Seafood, which is just up the road. Ella's will be rebuilt.

Have you tried RW Woods across the swing bridge for breakfast or lunch? Also OD Grill has great food...

Never mind, I know exactly what the swing bridge is. It's the smaller bridge that rotates around, right beside of the Highway 17 bridge. I just wasn't aware of the name of it.

i don't think its matters when you go there, always a line, because its a great local place with good food. i love the blackened tacos, they are awesome. they alternate with grouper and mahi, will have to try the flounder when we come down, every time i have had flounder in the past its been very fishy, i know you like flounder in general from your past videos from several places in the area, was it fishy at all? enjoy your videos and reviews

I mean, it does have a fish taste. But I don't mind that. It tastes pretty much like flounder anywhere else, except you just get a thicker piece here, and the breading is very flavorful.

Not only bike week but there is a low right off the coast going to bring like 5 inches of rain to Horry county. Not sure where you are staying but cherry grove floods pretty good with that much rain. The thing is it may flood some but it be gone in a hour. Well goes out with the tide. Yes Ella’s burned down but I read somewhere they going to rebuild. Nances can fill the void. Y’all please be careful on the roads here.

Where we are staying, is about 7 miles from Cherry Grove, up in Little River. We went out to Ella's today to look at the damage, and the sign out there says they are going to rebuild. We ended up going to Beck's, which is just up the road from there. Very similar to Ella's.

The lunch special is for the olds/locals and nothing compared to the dinner menu. Shrimp is 100. Calabash isn’t close to as good. The large combo is a TON of food, so I don’t agree with comments about it not being filling.

I'm just now seeing this comment from 5 months ago, for some reason. I'm honestly not sure what your point is. As for not agreeing with my comment about not being full, there is nothing to disagree with. I would know if I was full, or not. Everyone is different. Just because it makes you full, does not mean it makes everyone full. I also said, which you didn't mention, that I came there extremely hungry, not having eaten in a while. I also said I was not still hungry. So, there is nothing to not agree with. I was sharing my thoughts, which I can do. Also, saying "Calabash isn't close to as good", is your opinion. You are entitled to that, as I am. Not sure why you even took the time to make this comment.

No, mine was actually $27.00 ($26.99 on menu), hers was approx. $25.00 ($24.91 on menu), plus 2 drinks. That comes to roughly $56.00, plus tax.
