'The Avengers' got me interested in the MCU, but this movie is what actually got me invested in these stories and made me respect Steve Rogers, Natalia Romanova, Nick Fury, and the Winter Soldier. After this, I was in. Every line in this movie has double meanings and is brought up at least three times throughout the movie. Very well written.

That street fight between cap and Bucky is one of the cleanest fight scenes in history

no unecessary scenes or corny jokes, just straight plot line and character development. disney gotta go back to their roots and keep it simple

Natasha has only been truly afraid of two people in all the movies- The Hulk and The Winter Soldier. Considering Bucky is only a supersoldier with no magical powers, that says a LOT about his combat prowess.

One of the best mcu movies ever!

This movie is easily top 5 in MCU movies. Phenomenal writing, to Jerry's point - realistic action/fighting scenes that weren't inundated with unnecessary super-galactic CGI, and it also had really great character development. All around, I'm honestly very tempted to put this in my top 3 for MCU movies.

easily the best marvel movie.

The Winter Soldier is easily one of the most badass characters in the MCU, and Sebastian Stan is perfect for this role.

Captain America is the first avenger that may be why he’s so involved

This film was on that next level shit. Cap was nobody's favorite in The Avengers, however mad people became Captain American fans after watching this movie. Not going to lie it did raise his profile in the MCU!

Cap has The Best trilogy period like Pat Said, cus Civil War and This are among The Best Marvel movie of all, only The two last Avengers movies are better than These. The Guardians Got The Second best trilogy

Bucky is one of the most underrated characters in the MCU

Fun Fact: In the elevator fight scene, where Cap is getting jumped.... One of the S.H.I.E.L.D agents that's attacking Cap, the black guy with the skin fade... his name is Gui DaSilva Gui DaSilva is the stunt actor who did ALL the fight scenes for Black Panther, whenever Black Panther did a fight in the full vibranium suit, it was Gui DaSilva in that suit

This is my favorite mcu movie..I felt this should've set the bar of how mcu movies should be.. it was serious and I liked that..I don't mind humor with certain mcu films but this and dc's dark knight are two of my favorite superhero movies.. not to much cgi lots of action great story .. love seeing people reacting to this one

I rank TWS just below Infinity War and Endgame; it's peak MCU and one of the best movies they ever made.

This was the beginning of the mcu reign, everything they put out after this culturally was just not missing, Russo brothers really put the mcu on they back

I think what some people are forgetting is that nick fury is like 15 years older, even with the blip, so he's probably not as able to do this stuff in secret invasion.

The MCU did a much better job of making me interested in the Avengers than the comics. In the comics I can barely make it through an avengers story arc tbh. Conversely, I’ve read everything X-men dating back to the 60s while the Fox X-men movies made me completely detach from the characters because they clearly didn’t understand the source material. Long story short: The MCU has been elevating the source materials, FOX and DC have never managed to do that.

Again that word relatable. That's why I don't care about iron man and CA as characters (love their movies though). To me in a marvel movie relatable translates to boring.
