This one isn't one of my favorites of the franchise, it IS my favorite. None of the subsequent films have been able to supplant it and I doubt if any of the future ones will, but I'm keeping an open mind.

Hey there guys I just found your channel a couple days ago and watched all of your videos in about 3-4 days and I saved this and John wick for last I cant wait to see what you guys react to in the future

This was the movie that changed everyone's perceptions of the MCU.. it set a knew standard in terms of fight choreography and storytelling. It also greatly expanded the universe and showed you could have different genres under the overall umbrella of Superhero movies. This is really a spy thriller/espionage film with a "superhero" at the center. For alot of people this was the best MCU movie.

If Christopher Nolan's "The Dark Knight" was a Marvel movie, this would be it.

This is easily my favorite MCU film. Nothing they’ve done tops this storyline.

30:15 - He survived the fall because the Super Soldier Serum that was injected into him enhances his pain tolerance and healing factor. This is also why he was able to hit the ocean without a parachute as well as run 13 miles in 30 minutes earlier (due to enhanced strength, speed, and endurance).

That's not the reason the main reason is shield is a total vibration absorption thing...so no opposite force on his shoulder

Also because his bodily tissue is much denser and stronger than that of the average human. Bones, skin, joints, tendons and muscles.

Fun fact: cap's list changed depending on what country the movie was being shown in. The list would featured different films, bands, or foods popular in the local regions

As good as the MCU had been up to this point, this movie was when the franchise stepped up another level. Great movie!

Winter soldier absolutely blew our minds

Still my favorite MCU movie. Usually I feel like the action sequences could be shorter in exchange for more character but these action sequences were awesome as well as advancing both plot and character. The Winter Soldier is so ominous and then to learn that he is Bucky and what made him into the Winter Soldier breaks my heart.

The reason its the best Marvel movie is that it feels like the old 70's thrillers.. Not just effects but plot and great acting. Civil War is the next. Winter Soldier/ Bucky Barnes best character in the MCU

Captain America has the best trilogy by far in the MCU .

This is my favourite MCU movie by far. An underrated factor (or at least not discussed enough in my opinion) is the performance of Sebastian Stan as Winter Soldier. He has maybe 10 lines of dialogue and steals every scene he is in with just the look on his face. One minute he’s a menacing assassin and then he’s breaking my heart with that “but I knew him” line. His acting is incredible. That said everything about this movie is amazing and no other MCU movie has knocked it out of my number one spot.

The best MCU movie for me. No offense to Infinity War and Endgame but the story and action on this movie is so amazing. This is the only MCU movie on my phone downloaded.

Please note that on the ship, the Widow shot out the window to make it easier to for her and Steve to jump through the window. The directors a genius.

In the scene where Pierce slaps Bucky around, the guy in the white shirt with the beard and glasses is Ed Brubaker, He's the writer for the Cap comic who created the Winter Soldier. Bucky was never supposed to come back, but they went with Brubaker's idea and it was a big hit.

This held the top spot in the MCU until like endgame/infinity war. Every 5 seconds is an awesome scene! I appreciate all your enthusiasm while watching!

By far the most sophisticated and relevant of the MCU movies. Team Cap all the way.

Captain America's shield is made of vibranium, which has the property of absorbing energy, including impact energy. When he first got the shield from Howard Stark,and Peggy Carter shot at him, the bullets didn't bounce off, they just stopped moving and dropped at Steve's feet. The energy-absorbing property allowed Steve to avoid being squished under a full-strength strike from Thor's hammer in The Avengers, and by landing atop it he was able to survive jumping off SHIELD headquarters and falling out of a speeding car in this movie.

the nick fury ambush, the elevator scene, and the fight at the overpass are the 3 reasons why this is the best MCU movie imo. Redford makes a great bad guy and the whole conspiracy plot just works.. even if it wasn't a super hero movie.

Winter Soldier is the best standalone marvel film for me easy, the action choreography, the thriller, the music, my god the music, ive listened to that end credits theme song sooo many times and the images during it make it soo cool

This is certainly my favorite Marvel movie; one of my favorite movies outside of the mcu too. I never get tired of watching it, and to this day I get chills when it's revealed Bucky is the Winter Soldier. Oh and the Winter Soldier is freakin hot.

Seen all the MCU movies and this is best. Combination of The Bourne Identity, Seven Days of the Condor and top tier superhero action. I like that Black Widow and Cap are not romantically involved. These are two people with a lot of emotional baggage and personal trauma who need true friends. Also that scene where Pierce dies and says Hail Hydra. Scary as hell, because you realize then that these people are not power hungry for the sake of power but true believers and that makes them a hundred times more dangerous.

This is PEAK MCU.

I dont know if anyone else mentioned this, but the bad guy on the ship in the beginning that cap fights one-on-one is George St. Pierre. Former UFC champion and one bad dude and one of the few champions that is known for being a really cool guy.

I was coming here to say the same thing and yes he is such a humble and awesome dude and yet one of the most dangerous men you'll ever meet lol I went nuts when I saw that he was in this movie

he survived that fall solely because of his shield. It is a one-of-a-kind made of 2 made up metals, Adamantium and Vibranium. Vibranium absords physical energy. If you notice in the scene, he tucks his whole body behind the shield just before impact.

My favorite. Also ‘on your left’ makes Sam Steve’s right hand man.

First this is the best marvel movie back then. I like how you guys run through the movie reaction. No deleted on best scenes. I sub you guys.

he survives those falls due to the shield. Its made of vibranium... a completely shock absorbing metal which is why he landed the way he did.. Also hes just a badass. and winter soldier is most peoples top 5 at minimum. all the russo brothers films are unbelievable

On the boat, Cap fought Batroc the Leaper. He has very strong legs, and can jump fairly high. He annoys Spider-man, but always gets beaten.

To this day, My number one Marvel Movie!!! Take a great Spy, espionage film THEN......throw Super hero's in it !!!! This could have been a Bond movie.

The scene where Cap flips The Winter Soldier and unmasks was a surprise to everyone even the comicbook veterans who know the lore front to back. The writing and Sebastian Stan the actor sold it so well that until his mask comes using only his body language and posture, he comes across as a completely different person. Drawing into question if he's even Bucky even to people who know it. Sebastian Stan gets extra credit because he barely has any lines but still sells the tortured emotion so well of a man who could easily tear everyone around him apart but they broke his brain so hard that he can't.

It doesn't get any better than this. Stop here 😆

I think this is the best MCU movie. It has the tightest plot and the best balance of action and heart. It also hits all the important marks for a good sequel: expanded the world, introduced new challenges, developed the characters without distorting them, and paid off plot threads that were set up in the first movie. (I seriously recommend rewatching TFA after seeing this. There's so much foreshadowing, especially with hints at Bucky's Winter Soldier fate.) And it included foreshadowing for the third film, if you know where to look for it.

This was the first of the Russo Brothers Marvel films. Everything they had a hand in are top MCU films. They need to be brought back on, soon.

Sean and I absolutely loved this one. We are doing interstellar next and then guardians of the Galaxy. We wanted to take a break from MCU for one movie. We will probably do that occasionally

I can only speak for myself, but this movie is something else. It's my favorit MCU movie by far. The music, the story, and fight scenes started with the ship scene at the very beginning... Masterpiece.

Usually, reaction videos are just talk from the reactor and 12% movie, but here, it's the perfect 50-50 i was looking for i love you guys, i love how well you make your content and i wish all the good things to happen to you two

I WILL ALWAYS MAINTAIN, that this movie, was one of the best ACTION HERO movies of the new age. The pacing and music sets the tone so well.

Top 3 Marvel and Comic book movie of all time!

Pierce just walking off leaving Bucky was strapped into a chair, screaming in agony as he was getting his wind wiped was just *cold*. Showed you how ruthless that guy is. Also kind of shows you The Winter Soldier isn't just this evil, mindless killer: he's basically a prisoner of war who was subjected to unimaginable torture for years until it broke him and he couldn't even remember his own name.

This is my absolute favorite Marvel movie. I have a couple/three that I justify day-to-day in the 2nd spot, but this one... no question #1.

Sean and I were really shocked at how amazing this movie was. Like I said in the video, we really loved Iron Man Iron Man two and Iron Man three but this was a different level

Love this movie. The Winter Soldier is a super hero film with elements of spy thrillers like James Bond, Jason Bourne and Mission Impossible.

The GOAT MCU film and it's not even particularly close.

definitely one of my all time favourite marvel movies, close with the first avengers movie, infinity war, endgame, ragnarok and no way home

i do like the darker, realistic, espionage-like tone that's kinda reminiscent of the bourne supremacy. iron man caught my attention and this was the one where i could actually take captain america and marvel seriously

That is Captain America comics villain Batroc the Leaper, created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby back in 1966. He is a mercenary and master of the French kickboxing style Savate. He's been a constant thorn in Cap's side over the years, and has at times also worked as a hired merc for other supervillains. He is played by Canadian actor and former MMA fighter Georges St-Pierre, who is widely regarded as one of the best fighters in MMA history, with a staggering 26 win, 2 loss record.

I don’t think it was the algorithm necessarily, Sean and I had a lot of life going on around us and I actually have two jobs in addition to doing this KZread channel. Our goal is to eventually do KZread for a living making these reactions. But we both had some pretty heavy stuff going on in our lives and so we were off the grid for a couple of months. But we are backand next up is a quick break from the MCU… With interstellar. Then we are back with guardians of the Galaxy

to me winter soldier comes 2nd after the very first iron man. I get that people have their favourite heroes and I actually don't enjoy Iron man in later films that much. But his first movie is self contained and a compelling, well told, fun origin story. no other MCU film could beat that for me. much of the MCU lives off the hype (for me at least) and I got maybe too hyped and then disappointed one too many times :) so yeah the Winter Soldier is a standout but the first Iron Man will always be the best film I think. Even tho I like Cap better than Tony :D You two are fun to watch btw, thank you for the reaction!

Best movie of the MCU. Cap is who the rest of the world wants us to be. Honesty and integrity have to come first. In everything. But I also admire nobility, so, Thor and Black Panther; and (good) weird, so, Dr. Strange.

I'm an really REALLY avid fan and have seen all movies and series several times, but nothing tops Winter Soldier: it simple is The. Best. MCU. Movie!

This is Mikey and I completely agree. It’s pretty awesome

When I first saw this, it reminded me of a great older movie called Three Days of the Condor. That was an espionage movie but this had the same vibe and intelligence, only with MCU superheroes. The kicker is that that movie starred a much younger Robert Redford. I highly recommend you guys watch it at some point. It is a brilliant film. The kind you always watch whenever it is on.

In real life, almost all of the actors practice some form of martial arts. I came across a write up that talked about what each of the actors do to stay fit. It was interesting to see how many of them are highly skilled martial artists-including Scarlett Johansson. Which is probably why she looks good in those fight scenes. Just wanted to share this fact in case you all didn’t know.

Sometimes your favorite meal is the one in front of you

The thing that many people forget, or don't realize, is that the second season of Agents of Shield picked up where this movie left off. It remains, not only my favorite season of that show, but truly the only season I truly cared about. It would be worth a watch for you guys because you liked this film so much. And, yes, my all-time favorite movie of the Super-Hero franchises, along with the First Avenger, The Dark Knight, and Wonder Woman.
