I saw them a few years back at the Woodbridge, NJ summer concerts. I’m 73, nothing beats this music, and I grew up with Rock n Roll

I really appreciate doo wop music it’s so incredible. I grew in the 60’s and ‘70’s loving doo wop. Many of those singers have passed on, but my, my, my what a musical legacy they all left present and future generations to listen to, and to be able to see the actual artists who created those masterpieces. Just imagine if there were videos in the classical music composers and artists era; now that would so magical.

I fell in love while this song was playing. She is now my wife.

Nick Santo (Nick Santamaria) died on December 30, 2010 from heart failure, at the age of 69. RIP.

So amazingly good! My cousin, a Fresno DJ, turned me onto this song in 1963, singing it to me in my parent's backyard, while visiting. At 14 I was so impressionable and inspired and never forgot that beautiful song. God I love the Internet!!

A sign of a classic - you just never get tired hearing it again and again!

In the 60's every paesano in Brooklyn was singing this song on every street corner! At 14 I was one of them! LOL

In the 1970's Doo Wop revivals, at 21 years old, I had the pleasure of playing bass with The Capris, Coasters, Ravens, Drifters, Shirelles, Impalas - everybody. Heaven. They could all sing and were real entertainers. But Nick was "It" to me. Later, I met him at a VFW gig in Mt. Vernon, NY, but we had to drag him up to the stage, to a standing ovation. He killed. He told me that he didn't want to get up because he was wearing one brown shoe and the other, black! Absolutely nobody noticed.

Wow ! I didnt realize he was hitting the high parts, so it really surprised me at the end. What a powerful voice ! As these groups get older, their voices get better.

Such sweetness! RIP, Nicky…now sing for the angels…your voice was always heavenly.

This brings back wonderful memories. A romantic, slow-dance song with great harmonies that I will never forget.

IF you don't feel so well listen to this, and at least for a few minutes you will be in heaven !

I know zero NYC Italians who can't sing great but...sigh... that's just anecdotal...

This song literally makes me cry. I don't know why and I can't help it..

I remember going in the tunnels and train station and listening to the different groups singing . A great thrill for a thirteen year old.

Nicky was a close family friend, a retired NYC Police officer, A great singer... I can keep going. We played golf on the Bethpage Black!

Man! It is so great to see the very one who sang lead on the ORIGONAL record from 1960 stand and sing it again! I feel so great to see and hear him! It's been so long, since 1960. But this song zips me back there as soon as I hear the first lines!

This song is from my era. It feels good and hurts at the same time to hear it. It reminds me of a better time, a better world. The hurt comes from remembering that world compared to what it has become. It reminds me of parents, family members, teachers, neighbors, childhood friends, other songs and traditions. These are the things that made the good ole days good. These are the things I miss so much. They are also the things my children, grandchildren and great grand son have inherited from me. Priceless.
